Actor Harrison Ford has been confirmed as the pilot of a small plane which crashed in Venice, California, on Thursday afternoon. The 72-year-old actor's vintage plane crashed onto Penmar golf course in L.A

Thankfully he only suffered minor injuries and his son, Ben, confirms he is a little battered but ok and expected to make a full recovery.

Scary situation indeed, but I think kudos to Ford as a trained pilot who probably saved many more people from injury with his quick thinking.

A real hero, and I expect nothing less from Han Solo!

I know that feeling - when you see a headline like that, your stomach just turns.

With his piloting skills, anything more tragic was thankfully averted! :)

I swear he's not even Harrison Ford. He's Han Solo pretending to be Harrison Ford in order to escape Jabba.
Sometimes characters and actors blend together near-seamlessly...

He just embodies that heroic image of Han Solo / Indiana Jones doesn't he? And the fact he has done other brave and noble actions recently to help others only makes him more of a real treasure.

If Chewie had been with him, this probably wouldn't have happened.

Serves him right for flying...Solo.

:D

(Love you Harrison!)

I an odd way I think it/he is brilliant. I mean he also suffered in filming with breaking his leg doing his own stunts .. I believe? and he flys vintage planes, I mean come on...

If this is how he will leave this world of ours, by doing this stuff then bravo!

[member="Coci Sinopi"] Exactly. And he's...72, I think? He just knows how to live, and never makes a fuss about anything. He's a inspiration and a hero to many generations I think. He wasn't being reckless or going out of his depth, he just showed his skill as a pilot in averting tragedy.
