APPEARANCE:
As a transgender Haruko is a male who identifies as a female. She, as a servant now to her master, often wears a maid’s uniform. She is barley ever seen without it as she feels it is a part of her position as a loyal servant. Even in training or during a battle she will keep it on or repair it when damaged; unless she feels the need to buy or wear a new one.
BIOGRAPHY:
Haruko never knew his parents growing up. He was an orphan left on Alderaan when he was only a baby with no way of knowing who his family was. Growing up with other children had often made him feel a bit awkward, because he always felt “different” from most of them. He did not know it yet but he had been blessed with the gift of the force, something he would not discover until he was older.
As he grew Haruko started to become more of a protector towards the children who were often picked on. He would defend them, care for them and even keep them in line. While the headmistress of the orphanage had saw him as a growing father his friend, Nimari, had said he was more like a mother.
At this point, when he was 13, Haruko had finally made the choice. He was no longer a boy, but now saw HERSELF as a girl. The mother the other children had depended on while staying in the orphanage.
Of course Haruko’s choice had often had its consequences. Some of the other children teased her, the headmistress disapproved of the idea, and parents who’d come to adopt were not too keen on taking in a child so “different”. The latter had not bothered Haruko as much as she felt her place was better with the other children, remaining as the motherly figure she was. It was such an occasion where Haruko’s powers had finally manifested.
One of the older boys was being rude to Nimari before Haruko stepped in to defend her. The boy then turned his aggression towards Haruko. He reacted, without realizing, by hitting the boy with a force push that broken his arm in the process. Haruko felt guilty for what she’d done and the headmistress realized she needed to go be with others like her, the Jedi.
The Jedi who would become Haruko’s master had come, offering a place in their order. Haruko was reluctant, at first, but soon she’d learned in the time it took for them to arrive Nimari had been adopted. Feeling as though there was nothing else keeping her with the orphanage Haruko agreed to go but had now agreed to be the Jedi’s servant and student. She felt it was a better purpose and would help “atone” for her mistake.
Now serving, both as a Jedi and in a more literal sense, Haruko trains to become a protector to everyone in the galaxy.
