Forged within the Fortress of Dawn atop the blessed peak of Midvinter, guided by the tutelage of [member=Coci Heavenshield], Ylva crafted her first weapon for the use of a Force Practitioner through the process of Alkahest (Lightside Alchemy). Drawing her own blood in the construction of the weapon, Ylva summoned her control in the Force to infuse and empower the Songsteel during the shaping process to create a greater personal connection to the lightsaber, as well as to strengthen the weapons attributes.
Using the Sasori Chamber in addition to the Lightsabers other materials and components, this specialized Chamber allows for a greater number of crystals to be stored within the Hilt. In this, Ylva decided that it would be best to be able to part the weapon into two single-handed lightsabers. The Permafrost Crystal has been shaped into several smaller components in order to power both blades, as well as triggering each blade independently of one another while both hilts are connected, giving greater diversity to her fighting ability.
The Tri-Phase Switch is a custom Sasori component that enables the user to adjust the length and width of the lightsaber’s blades. While unlikely to add much to the practice of a double-bladed lightsaber, this addition means that when split into two individual lightsabers, Ylva will have a possible advantage in reach against other melee combatants, as well as the greater ability to deflect conventional blaster-fire and stun based fire-arms with the custom width of the blades.
The result of her efforts being a light-weighted yet strong, resistant lightsaber with a greater intensity in power output and cutting ability, able to be used by her alone due to her attunement with the Permafrost Crystal as well as the hilt having been infused with her own blood. Able to call upon and wield the weapon as an extension of herself, the final construct is considered to be one of her greatest achievements in life, and a symbol of her identity as a Force User and Jedi.
STRENGTHS:
Alkahest (Force Alchemy): Amplifies the presence and practice of the lightside for all Force Users within close proximity.
Force Imbued: Can pierce high density materials that might otherwise be resistant to sabers (Beskar, Phrik etc).
Songsteel: Strong resistance to other energy based weapons such as a lightsaber.
Permafrost Crystal: The lightsaber may only be used by Ylva Heavenshield due to her having attuned herself to the Permafrost Crystals within.
Interchangeable Form: Can be used as a double-bladed lightsaber, or otherwise separated into two single lightsabers offering greater variety of forms and combatant styles.
Sasori Chamber: Greater size of Hilt, making it an easier target during melee combat.
Beacon of Light: Due to the strong presence of the light side of the force, the user of this weapon is easily detectable by other Force Users.
Force Nullifying Effects: The strengthened practice of the light side of the force as a result of the Alkahest, can be countered by force nullifying effects such as Ysalamir.
