Keter

The Renegade
Recently he had taken to sleeping in the Fury. The children often kept odd hours, though with Barnabus and Slevin keeping an eye on them, he could at least rest easy that they wouldn't get into trouble. Also, keeping his work as far from the ingenuity of Feena's brood was only logical. Cecil and Lucinda could easily wreak a lot of havoc on his files, as well as stumble over things that children their age had no business stumbling across.

Keter rolled his shoulders, working out the kinks as he sat in the pilot's seat of the interceptor, though in truth it was more of a frigate. Dented, scratched, worn...but his. After all these years, still his. After all that had happened to it...a minor miracle. He snorted at the thought. His own effort had resulted in this, not providence. Besides, what knight abandons his loyal steed? No, it was better this way. He would return to Hutta on the same ship that he had left it. It was a better story that way.

But the wheel had turned, and what he had gained, he had once more lost. It was down to him to make sure the wheel turned in his favor once more. But to achieve that, Keter needed resources. He would hide, he would rebuild, start over. Still, he couldn't help but smirk as he browsed the holonet for any news and job opportunities. He had posted himself as a troubleshooter for hire. Transport, security, reconnasaince...he was good to perform those duties and more, for a willing employer. Question was, would anyone bother contacting him?

The Eternal Queen
"So, this is where you've been hiding."
Not that it was much of a mystery. Keter had his 'work' to do, just like her. The only difference really was the nature of their work. Feena made her living by making 'important' people like her. Keter... seemed to do a little of everything else. What was a woman to do but worry? That was why she got on board when he wasn't paying attention. It was about time she learn exactly what her husband-to-be actually did now.

"I should have known," she sighed, "This is so like you. You would rather be out here, than at home in bed with me."
The woman snorted in irritation, crossing her arm in front of her. She looked completely displeased, but even that was all part of the act. She wasn't actually that disappointed. However, she would be his wife soon enough. It was time that she got him used to the nagging spouse routine.

Keter sighed with a touch of theatricality, kicking his chair around to face his lover. "Ah, Queen, so nice of you to descend to my humble abode," he said with a polite smile, steepling his fingers before him. "And I have not been hiding. Just...keeping certain things beyond the reach of your children. They have quite brilliant minds after all...though considering you're their mother, I shouldn't be surprised," he nodded in explanation, standing up. "Oh no my dear, I quite enjoy being in bed with you. But unless I fulfil my responsibilities...well, we don't have a couch so I'm not sure where you would banich me to..." the blond continued, stroking his chin and grinning slightly at Feena.
Even now they maintained their little games. Some things never changed.

The Eternal Queen
"Oh stop," she replied in response to his comment about her brilliant children, "flattery will only get you so far."

She frowned at him as he stood up. She understood to a degree why he slipped away like this. He did make a good point. Her children were brilliant. Sometimes even she had trouble keeping up with them. Even so, she wouldn't accept that as an excuse.

"well, we don't have a couch so I'm not sure where you would banish me to..."
Really? That was it?
"Well, until I decide to banish you from my bed, I expect you to be there," she snapped, "I understand that you have work to do, but honestly? It's like this almost every night!"

With a sigh, she sunk into the nearest seat using her fingers to comb out her long black hair.
"Well, you may as well continue," she motioned for the seat he had been in moments before, "Go on. I want to see what you actually do."

Keter laughed and nodded as he sat back down in his chair. "Of course Queen," he said, glancing at the holonet display behind him. "Sadly, at the moment, all I do is wait. I've sent out a few applications to various jobs, so ultimately what I do depends on who my employer is and what they want me to do," the blond responded with a helpless shrug. "So right now, i find myself with some time to kill until the results of my latest search come in."

The Eternal Queen
This was not the response she wanted.
"So what you're telling me," she growled, crossing her arms, "is that you slip away almost every night on the off chance that you might find work?"
Her eyes narrowed as she leaned back in her seat, legs crossed.
"Oh Keke..." she sighed, sounding completely exhausted, "You should spend more time with your family, if you have 'time to kill'. Felicity needs her Daddy and I need my fiance."

Keter sighed and held out his arms ina gesture of helplessness. "Que- Feena, I just want to do my part for my family, alright? I want to provide and help, let you have a chance to be at home with the children rather than constantly working. Is that wrong?" he asked, looking at her evenly. It was true. With Feena as the only one with a legitimate job, she spent most of her time travelling as an ambassador for the Jedi. Keter had no issues with being a house husband, and Barnabus and Slevin were always around to help, as was K-36215. Still, he felt as if the children were not seeing enough of their mother.

"I understand. That's why I only slip away at night. Too busy during the day enjoying my role as a father," he said with a slight smile. "You know, she's begun trying to follow Lucinda into the air ducts? She absolutely adores her elder sister," the blond siad with a shake of his head.

The Eternal Queen
Feena opened her mouth to argue her point, to tell him that because she wasn't home as often anymore that was exactly the reason she wanted him around at all times. Then he mentioned Felicity. Following Lucinda. That much she didn't know.
"But-! How can she? She's only just mastered walking!" She put a hand to her forehead, slumping in her chair. "I was hoping she would follow Cecil. I don't know how I'm going to handle another Lucinda."

The Renegade
He laughed at her reaction, stnading up from his chair to stand by her side, resting a hand on her shoulder. "Oh she loves Cecil too. He's taken to reading stories to her. It...reminds me of me," he admitted, looking away, into the past. He had read to his sister too. To Celeste. Gone for so long now. "Still, I think Felicity will grow up as a little of both," Keter summarised, giving Feena's shoulder a gentle squeeze.

The Eternal Queen
"I hope so," she sighed, "I really do hope so."
She placed her hand over his as it squeezed her shoulder. For now, she was through being angry, at least until he gave her reason to yell again.
"She looks like you, you know," she continued, "I'm happy to see so much of you in her. You really do make beautiful children, Keke."

Keter

The Renegade
Keter coughed politely to hide his momentary embarassment. "Children? Plural? You...ah, have another surprise for me?" he asked lightly. Had she just let something slip? Or had she merely chosen her words poorly?

The Eternal Queen
Her cheeks went bright red, but she kept her composure.
"Would that be a nice surprise, Keke?" she asked, batting her eyelashes up at him, "Is that what you want?"

Keter

The Renegade
He didn't reply, not with words at least. Instead he just leaned down to kiss her. "Maybe, my dear. But not yet," he replied with a smile, glancing at the console. "Well, my job issues won't resolve themselves until the morning in any case. So tonight, I will be able to keep you company, Queen," the blond said, with a slight bow of his head to hide his smirk.

The Eternal Queen
He was lucky she was just teasing him or else she could be very irritated by his 'maybe'.
"I'm happy to hear it. Yes. Leave the work for the morning. You're going to have a long night as it is."
She didn't bother to even try seduction here. He would get the picture.

Keter

The Renegade
Keter shook his head with a smile as he picked her up gently from the chair, bridal style. "Is that a promise?" he asked her with a smile, carrying her to his quarters aboard the ship.

The Eternal Queen
"Yes it is," she replied, wrapping her arms around the back of his neck, "And you know I always keep my promises."

Keter

The Renegade
"Good. Let's make this a restless night then," he said, giving her another kiss as they entered his quarters aboard the ship. Well, their quarters now. No way would Keter have a whole double bed to himself. He lowered Feena onto it, before brushing some stray hairs from her face and smiling. It had been too long since he had simply admired her beauty.

The Eternal Queen
Another kiss and they were back where their little romance all started, or well, at least where it really came into light. This ship, this bed. Memories.
"Keter," she smiled, lightly tracing a hand up his arm, "Are you going to stand there and admire me all night, or are you going to make love to me?"

Keter

The Renegade
"Well, that's always down to you, Queen," he replied, catching her hand in his and kissing it like a gentleman, his red eyes fixed on her silver ones. "Though I certainly do intend to have some fun with you tonight," he whispered into her ear before going lower and leaving a trail of kisses down her neck to the edge of her clothing.

The Eternal Queen
Such a tease. The woman beneath him tilted her head away from him, giving him full access to her neck all the way to her collarbone. One leg came up to wrap around him, pulling him in closer.
"Fun," she echoed, fighting back a moan, "it's always fun with you, my love."
