Keter
The Renegade
Recently he had taken to sleeping in the Fury. The children often kept odd hours, though with Barnabus and Slevin keeping an eye on them, he could at least rest easy that they wouldn't get into trouble. Also, keeping his work as far from the ingenuity of Feena's brood was only logical. Cecil and Lucinda could easily wreak a lot of havoc on his files, as well as stumble over things that children their age had no business stumbling across.
Keter rolled his shoulders, working out the kinks as he sat in the pilot's seat of the interceptor, though in truth it was more of a frigate. Dented, scratched, worn...but his. After all these years, still his. After all that had happened to it...a minor miracle. He snorted at the thought. His own effort had resulted in this, not providence. Besides, what knight abandons his loyal steed? No, it was better this way. He would return to Hutta on the same ship that he had left it. It was a better story that way.
But the wheel had turned, and what he had gained, he had once more lost. It was down to him to make sure the wheel turned in his favor once more. But to achieve that, Keter needed resources. He would hide, he would rebuild, start over. Still, he couldn't help but smirk as he browsed the holonet for any news and job opportunities. He had posted himself as a troubleshooter for hire. Transport, security, reconnasaince...he was good to perform those duties and more, for a willing employer. Question was, would anyone bother contacting him?
