Cerys Dyn
to keep the oaths of old
| Outer Rim World
| Fringes of Galactic Disk
| Northern Large Continent
| Prairie
The grass parted hither and also thither as the small shuttle set down on a windswept rise. The Jedi inside was still in training, the New Jedi called her Padawan, she called herself Apprentice. This terrain was by far more pleasant than Jakku, but she also noted that there was not a running water source within walking distance. To compensate, she slung her canteen over her shoulder. She would have a little walking to do today.
Reports had come in, via independently verified Force visions, of Sithspawn massing on this distant world. It was not considered a priority, so the mission was placed into a group from which independently minded trainees could try their feet on relatively safe missions. The Sithspawn in question were not supposed to be be particularly dangerous, and seen in both visions grazing at night. So she had arrived during this side of the worlds day, early morning to be precise.
The creatures had found a shaded spot in the woods, a the base of her hill, and were already settling to sleep under the canopy. Cerys walked slowly towards the treeline, and kept her mind open towards the creatures.
“How…in the Force…did you all…get here?”
They were magnificent creatures, she observed, even as she kept her distance in the sunshine beyond the edge of the forest. A DNA sample was all she was here to get, so that the scientists back in the Jedi Corps could do analysis. It was a small mission, an easy task. It was a new thing to have resources like science labs at her disposal, or rather for she to be at the disposal of those resources. Still, it was nice to be busy…and alone.
