Natural fallout in roleplay is a glorious thing to behold.

As you all may have witnessed, the Republic has become so foul, their Prime Minister beginning to emulate a man in canon with which we are all familiar - Palpatine.

Reacting to this, the corporate world has begun sanctions of the Republic. At the time of this posting, CEC, AEI, and Tenloss have joined this effort, and Incom supports this, having severed ties quite some time ago.

If you have standing contracts with the Republic, and will not stand for this putrid thing the Republic has become, consider joining the effort. If you don't hold such contracts, consider stating your support.

The Ripple Effect

Here I'll track the threads that are or may be connected to that one Republic dominion. Some are public, some are private.

1. Cutting Ties [Public] - CEC ceases support of the Galactic Republic, the first domino in a litany of other corporate entities imposing sanctions on the increasingly fascist government. AEI, Mandal Hypernautics, and others have followed suit in this thread. This is where you can do the same, if you hold contracts with the Republic, or post your support of this act of sanction, if you don't.

2. Severance [Public] - Following CEC, Tenloss severs any dealings with the Republic.

3. Criminals and Last-Standers [Public] - In the wake of corporate sanctions being imposed upon the Republic, some have taken advantage of these current events to negotiate new contracts. Here, the Galactic Alliance approaches Tenloss.

4. Danger, Will Robinson [Public] - Republic Prime Minister Lasedri moves to seize and nationalize corporate assets, primarily at Brentaal IV, along with any assets of corporations at other locations in the Republic domain. The corporate sphere reacts, and it is not happy. Corporate warfare with the corrupt, weakened, so-called 'Republic' seems to be on the horizon. This is where we state our inital reactions to and intentions for the situation brewing in Republic space.

5. Dealing With An Old Friend [Private] - Solan Charr attempts to meet with Lasedri in an attempt to... talk some sense into her?

6. The Republic Has Fallen [Public] - Yusan Fenn, former senator, former Vice Chancellor of the Republic, speaks out in an open message against the actions of Prime Minister Lasedri, imploring the people to stand for the True Republic... and not this fetid shade of it.
