The Sith Empire's grasp extends over hundreds of star systems, a good number of each having to be taken by force. Though the Sith have engineered many vehicles of war to facilitate an easier and swifter victory, there was always a new battle that revealed previously unseen weaknesses in their mobile armor.
Walkers were susceptible to tow cables and artillery aimed at the legs, and repulsorlift jammers could stall a column of repulsortanks.
But it would take a little more ingenuity to bring down a heavily armored treaded tank.
Thus the Barrage was born, a heavy assault vehicle propelled via treaded locomotion across the battlefield and armed with a variety of weapons capable of evicting entrenched enemies and plowing through fortifications. Interior space was maximized to hold a total contingent of three hundred Legionnaires into battle, allowing the Barrage to pierce deep into enemy territory before unloading two companies right into their heart.
