DESCRIPTION |
Aether Systems continues its foray into the world of Vehicle Manufacturing with the resurrection of an old classic to be deployed along the front lines of the Galactic Alliance. Introducing the HAVw A12 Juggernaut, a Heavy Assault Vehicle propelled forward by five sets of massive wheels and designed to be both a troop transport as well as a battering ram to batter down enemy fortifications. The HAVw A12 maintains many features of its predecessors including a semi-modular interior that allows for the transport of up to three-hundred troopers and their equipment and materials. Incorporating a dual-control cabin layout, this design feature was included as a means to overcome its lack of maneuverability and diminish the time required to attempt to reverse the vehicle's course by simply allowing the vehicle to be driven from the other end. Living up to its name, the HAVw A12 maintains an impressive array of armaments as well as heavier defenses than some of its predecessors in the HAV line of vehicles. Some of these defenses include smoke launchers to produce a screen to provide cover to retreat or mask an attack, and a reinforced chassis ensures that the HAVw A12 is more than capable of withstanding fire from all save the heaviest of armor penetrating munitions. The primary downsides of the HAVw A12 are also a result of its size, specifically, its lack of maneuverability, and its low rate of acceleration and top speed. This renders the vehicle more vulnerable to faster-moving vehicles as well as strikes from enemies that are not in its direct light of sight. However, the introduction of the HAVw A12 plays an important part in the ongoing wars that the Galactic Alliance finds itself facing, and even with its drawbacks, the vehicle is more than capable of withstanding the ongoing conflict. The HAVw A12 provides the Galactic Alliance with a versatile Heavy Assault Vehicle and Troop Transport combination that it has sorely been lacking. |
