Hayden Va'kin stands tall for a woman, with a long, black hair that tends to be unruly, and dark, hazel, almost onyx eyes. She has fairly high, prominent cheek bones, and a dominant demeanor, despite the lack of social skills. The young woman may be seen sporting her thick rimmed, black glasses, though that is a rarity. She has a static wardrobe consisting of tight, dark jeans or cargo pants, black ankle height boots of a combat style, and a number of dark colored t-shirts and tank tops. Before leaving her homeworld, she got a tattoo of a symbol on her left wrist, of which she keeps the meaning secret.
//Biography
Daughter to farmers Hershel and the late Dionna Va'kin, Hayden "X" Va'kin never quite felt like she belonged anywhere, especially not in the small farm community she grew up in. Hayden was a loner from the time she was born, always opting to read a book and tinker with electronics rather than venture outside with the other children. She had an affinity for technology and an aptitude for learning at a more rapid pace, making her stand out among her peers, and not always in a good way. Due to these differences, she tended to stick close to her family, helping her father automate his daily duties using spare parts she would tear out of other machinery that had broken down over the years. Hayden easily graduated top of her class, with no friends to speak of, and took up helping on the farm since her parents were struggling. She was hoping to save up enough money to go to the mechanical school on Lothal to become an engineer.
In addition to Hayden's lack of socialization, she would go on binges where she would span a number of days without sleep, sometimes causing her to hallucinate and drop into a state of psychosis. It was during one of these hallucinations that tragedy struck the Va'kin Family.
Late one evening, a 23 year old Hayden was in her cot, reading "Aratech Repulsor Company: A History", when she heard her mother's blood curdling scream from the kitchen. Heart pounding, Hayen threw her book to the side and ran out of her bedroom to see a large, oily haired, rugged man holding her mother off the ground by the throat. Dionna's dark eyes, matching those of her daughter, spread wide in fear as she yelled for Hayden to stop where she was. The man turned to face her, revealing a terrible scar across his left eye which was dull and lifeless. Not knowing what else to do, Hayden ran at the man, only to be thrown back against the opposite wall. The blow to her head caused her vision to blur and she watched in horror as the man slammed her mother into the wall, repeatedly.
"No," she screamed, "no, no, stop NO!" Hayden's body went limp and her vision went black.
She awoke to her father in a hospital a week later, jerking up out of bed, only to be stopped by handcuffs which bound her to the bed rails. Her fathers eyes were full of tears and fear as he asked her what happened. As Hayden explained, her father stood up and left the room, ignoring her screams to return and let her free.
Days later her father returned to the hospital and explained the truth of what happened to her mother. The man that was holding Dionna Va'kin was Hayden's father. He was attempting to shield her, to protect her from Hayden, who had come out of the bedroom and began attacking Dionna while she was simply doing dishes. Hayden, in what seemed to her father as pure hatred and rage, threw the kitchen chairs toward the pair, and then, out of nowhere and without touching it, launched the kitchen table at her parent's, throwing herself back into the wall and knocking her unconscious, whilst also piercing her mother, ultimately killing her. Hayden refused to believe the truth, screaming in anger and viciously trying to remove herself from the hospital bed.
After her stay in the medical ward, Hayden was moved to the psych ward and diagnosed with a chemical imbalance. This imbalance led her to the sleepless nights, hallucinations, anger and irritability that she had always experienced. The one part of all of the chaos that had ensued that she could never get over was launching the table. She had never had any inclination that she was force-sensitive, prior to that night, and she didn't know how to connect to the force since that moment. Maybe it had been fleeting, but she had to be sure. Two years after the incident, Hayden decided to venture out into the galaxy to learn more about her supposed force-sensitivity and find a way to use it to fulfill a higher purpose, whether that be "good" or "bad".
//Strengths
+ Cunning - Quick on her feet, highly intelligent, fast learner when it comes to technology.
+ Stealthy - Being a loner and not wanting to get bullied as a child, Hayden learned how to become invisible in a crowd.
+ Technically minded - Able to reverse engineer and hack electronics to a certain degree. No formal training, but small jobs or something she can dig into for a period of time is no problem.
//Weaknesses
- Chemically unstable - Hayden's chemical imbalance makes her mood uneasy and her actions hard to discern. Anger and irritability are two dominating traits.
- No athletic ability - Hayden is not a physical worker, and not one suited for combat.
- Loner - Working in groups may prove difficult. Tends to go off on her own and handle her business by herself.
