- Fast and Hard: Combines moderate stopping power with rapid fire makes the Maximum a decent fire support weapon for squads to use. In a sense it is a boltfire variant of the popular E-web blaster from the Galactic Civil War.
- Maneuvering: Though lighter and able to be used by one person due to the modifications this weapons is still mot the easiest to use and may be difficult to quickly reposition it to new locations. In addition rough terrain may requite it to be lifted and thus need more then one person to carry.
The simply named Maximum Boltfire weapon is a lighter variant of the HBMG Mk1 already in production, mounted on a wheeled tripod chassis. Such was made due to the simple weight problems found with the HNMG Mk1 with the prospect of engaging in a moving combat zone and quick deployment of heavy machine gun emplacements. The inner workings of the Mk2 are the same as the Mk1, the only real differences being the smaller size of the newer model and shorter rail system that shoots the bolt from the barrel.
As similar to the Mk1 the Mk2 is a squad automatic weapon made to support troops in the field, though lacks the power of the Mk1 to act in an effective light anti armor role since the caliber bolt used is smaller. Even so the Mk2 quickly replaced the Mk1 as standard issue weapon to infantry squads due to the increased mobility of the model.
