He Said, She Said (Game Show)

Dharma Vessia

Lords of the Fringe
“Oh shhh you… I wasn’t talking to you tree. Mister Rock was making bad jokes.” Dharma said as she pouted. The tree she was speaking spoke back with what it had to say. Still she wanted to hear what the rock had to say. “Tree, zip it or you’ll become tonight’s camp fire.”

It was not truly insanity that plagued her mind. The speaking inanimate objects were speaking to her because of the way she saw and used the force. After a few times of being separated from the force via creatures and alchemy, Dharma understood her reality. That was how she was able to grab ahold of things and assisted her place in the ranks. Learning from her reality, the gift of sharing formed but some could not take it. That was the difference from growing up all one’s life and sudden emersion into the world of Dharma.

“Thank you Mister Rock… I’ll look for him and maybe we’ll play the game with you and dumb tree over there.” She remarked before looking around for whom the force told her was coming.

"Nobody cares for the woods anymore."
Jak was carelessly enjoying the afternoon sunlight and fresh air. The flora around him acknowledged his presence, and he let them continue their daily lives.

To him, all the greenery spoke to him. They just spoke in different ways. For example, grass stems had a fairly short temper, and hated crowds. And as such, they were almost always mad. Thankfully, they had very quiet voices. Bushes had the sort of a squeaky, chubby voice you'd expect of someone short and fat. Flowers were generally pining away after three things - dirt, sun, and insects to take its nectar. Trees had a variety of voices, however. The old, old, old ones spoke about once a day on average, and everything they had to say was either incredibly astute, or completely indecipherable for its slowness. By contrast, the saplings wouldn't shut up. They constantly made fairly obvious observances about the sky, the air, the ground... it was annoying. Occasionally they would say something profound, but you'd have to listen for some time before hearing it.

And so it was Jak came across a pouting sapling. Well... the term sapling was relative. It wasn't that old, technically speaking, however, were Jak to hug the tree, his fingertips would only just be able to touch.

What seems to be the problem, Sapling-who-cannot-stop-speaking?

There's a woman and a rock ganging up on me....

I wonder why...

He turned the bend to take note of 'the woman and the rock'.

“What?!?” Dharma questioned before whipping around on her toes. “Ooohhh…”

There she stood a little shocked. The rock told her but plant man was taken as a joke by her. Sometimes she saw and hear things that was more linking to a person in the force and not the true physical form. A plant man to her was a force user with a green thumb via the force. It never crossed her about green plant like people. Turning back around, she kicked the rock. “You and your bad jokes, rock.”

Dharma went over to him with a smile. “Sorry… I didn’t know they really meant what they said this time. It can be a little difff… Ouch!” She could not finish her thought aloud since the rock decided to come back to hit her. Turning around again, the rock was eye level with her. The two fought with words and rock sometimes head-butted her. It took a little time but peace was made. That allowed her to turn her attention back on Jak. “Sorry again… force likes to fight with me and be vague at times. So I’m Dharma and to keep the pleasantries going so I can feel normal, and how are you doing?”

"Nobody cares for the woods anymore."
He watched, bemused, as the woman resolved a dispute with a rock. When she was apparently finished her... discussion... he let her introduce herself, and he responded in turn.

"Sandrow. Jak Sandrow. And I'm doing wonderful, thanks! How are you doing?"

He gave a little grin, pulling the memory of the rock back to the forefront of his mind. "So... you... talk to rocks? I mean, I thought I was socially awkward, but that..." he joked.
