Strengths:
- Medical- The Healer class Shuttle is a ship dedicated to medical emergencies. It comes stocked up on large amounts of first aid and emergency supplies that allow it to handle triage for medical emergencies. It can handle up to 20 passengers with a single bacta tank for one of them.
- Defenseless- The Healer class Shuttle is a great ship for medical emergencies, but it is not able to handle combat at all. It has no weapons for self defense and only an alusteel hull. While it does have two shields, they are designed to protect from environmental hazards and not weaponry. This means it can not handle being shot at long.
As the galaxy becomes more dangerous, the need for medical equipment rises. Ashhearth Industries noticed this and so decided to expand on their medical ships list. After looking at what would be the most useful it was clear a shuttle was needed. They messed with some designed before settling on their final one. The Healer class Shuttle was born.
The Healer class Shuttle is built like any other shuttle. It is made from an alusteel frame with an alusteel hull around it. Between is all of the starship components and electronic parts. A deflector shield and ion shield were installed to deal with environmental hazards. A bacta tank along with patient rooms containing straps were built in along with lots of storage for medical supplies. With that done, there was enough room left for a single Nightingale speeder bike to be housed.
The Healer class Shuttle was given all the standard features such as sensors, a distress beacon, communication system, and living quarters for the crew in case of prolonged operations. Outside of this advanced systems were added in to aid with the medical operations. This included a ventilation system with advanced filters to cycle out harmful microbes and materials from the air and water. A decontamination room was built into the entrance to the ramp. This allows it for patients and workers to be sterilized after exposure to potential plagues or other harmful elements.
