Healing

With the sudden and surprise attacks by the sith on the core worlds of Alderaan, Balmorra and Kuat, Seo was called there to lend a hand in recovery. She worked along side the various people and assisted where she could. As with many of her culture, she was a quiet person. Watched more than spoke and observed the body language of those around her.

Nearby was a young man of a similar age to he. He appeared to be of the same kind of mold that she was. Kind hearted and here wanting to help. Such was the case with everybody here, but he seemed the most authentic in the sense he did this of his own free will and not after anything for himself.

They appeared to be taking the work in shifts and they were on a similar timing. A break was called and others moved up to take over for the next shift.

Wanting to have a meeting with him, Seo would attempt to position herself where they would run into each other. Maybe not in a physical sense, but by proximity. She had not gone to any measure to hide the fact of her alignment in the Force or what she was. Openly showing she was a Jedi and wearing her saber on her hip.

Speaking for the first time, her voice was calm, gentle, but tired.

"Hello. Excuse me, but I wish to introduce myself. I am Seo Linn. It is nice to see others coming to help when so many others will not."

The Sith had been hard at work. Conquering planet after planet that stood in their wake. Riven knew that the Sith Empire was too much to extinguish by his lonesome. So he had arrived at planets that needed him most. It was a rigorous lifestyle, being a man of aid. Although, in many ways it had come naturally to him. The antiquated years of oppressive rules by his ancestors forced him to become someone better. How or if, was still a mystery. Even Riven questioned it himself on multiple occasions. It was a constant worry of his own and for good reason. If he had stayed with the Kro Var, Riven could have become a ruler. Also, his affinity for the elements would be further along than they were now. The only issue about being a ruler of the Kro Var was it came at a price of his own moral compass.
Luckily, for those in need, Riven was on the world of Alderaan. The skirmished of the air that took place before he arrived had devastated towns and cities alike. In common fashion, Riven preferred to walk to his destination and he had been for hours. Just as he reached the cusp of a small hill, a stretch of dying out flames and large heaps of metal laid waste before him. E-vac units were already landing and taking off with the wounded. Multiple screams for help continued in the distance. It was truly a disaster and the only people that truly paid the price were those that weren't part of the war. It almost made Riven sick. The fact that anyone got away with this was disgusting. Justice, eventually would be served. Regardless of his own feelings, he rushed into the fray.
"We got some on the Northeast section of the city that need help badly. We're running out of supplies! We need more medics or we're gonna lose a lot of people down here!" A voice yelled out over the comms. Riven scanned the area to get a sense of direction and gripped onto his backpack strap. Sprinting, Riven made way for the northeast section. Just as he weaved around the corner, a horrific scene greeted him. Blood splatters tainted the buildings that surrounded him. Sirens and screams shifted his attention back and forth. Until, a large group of medics ran by with body after body from the ravaged buildings.
Stunned, he felt a tap on his shoulder. It snapped him back into reality, before the words came out like butter.
"Are you kidding me? All they sent was you? I asked for more. Listen get to who you can. We don't even know if this is the worst of it or not. Relieve the others would ya? Find a partner too, it's bad in there."
Riven looked at him in confusion but before he could speak, the guy took off.
A partner?
"Hello. Excuse me, but I wish to introduce myself. I am Seo Linn. It is nice to see others coming to help when so many others will not."
Another voice reached him. It was soothing pitch compared to the previous two gentleman that barked orders. On the other hand, Riven was more partial to women anyways. He looked her over and smiled. Her greeting was exceptionally nice and so he returned with a few words of his own.
"Nice to meet you Seo Linn. My name is Riven Black. What exactly happened here?" Riven glanced down at her waist, only to spot the same metal hilt from when he met Kay. It mattered little to him and continued. "This might seem a bit forward, but I was told to partner up with someone. Would you mind?"
Riven stared at her, the golden accent of her eyes shined right through his own. To match she had gold, white hair. To Riven, she was clearly attractive, but the needs of others out weighed his wants, at least for now. Fixing his blue jacket, Riven waited for her response.

As the shift changed, two men started barking orders at the new volunteers on where the most help was needed. Several people wandered away and the man she had approached turned to face her as she spoke. Being observant of body language, Seo saw his eyes look at her saber and then meet her own.

He was well built and carried a sense of youth to him. Like he still had growing to do. He appeared to be about her age though, so it made her wonder slightly what it meant. After a brief moment of shared observation, he spoke about being partners in the next shift.

She really wanted to take a few minutes to regain some energy before taking on more work, but instead she nodded before speaking. Her people communicated more through non verbal language so had to remember not everyone did this.

"Yes. I agree, working together would be more beneficial than working alone."

He adjusted his jacket as he waited for her answer.

"It is nice to know your name. Where do you want to begin?"

"It is nice to know your name. Where do you want to begin?"
Riven took a moment to look around. The crumbled stones and metal frames that were spread across the street showed him the destruction of a large building. He wanted to help everywhere he could, but the first thing that had to be taken care of were the distant screams. Riven turned back to Seo and lifted his hand to the air. He stretched his index finger to answer her question.
"I can't ignore those screams, I'd say the quicker we get into the fallen building over there, the better off we will be." Riven said, his face showing concern.
The one thought that really got to him were how many were already lost to the incompetence of others. For what? A useless war? Pride? Beliefs? The galaxy was sick and twisted, but Riven was a rare beacon of hope for those neglected in many of the aftermaths of many wars. His talent at mending wounds made him valuable on many sides of any conflict. Granted, most of the time he would be helping the Jedi or an innocent party caught up in a bigger mess. Riven wouldn't allow such potential wasted. Where the sith saw weakness, Riven saw strength. If only many of those now trapped underneath the rubble of a fallen building knew how to fight, appropriately of course, the tides of battle could be changed. Riven could teach, but even he was a student of his air bending arts. Regardless, they had to act and fast.
Riven swung his bag of supplies around to his chest and unzipped the zipper. He reached into it before he found bandages and fine thread. He extended them both to Seo.
"I'm not sure if you have supplies or not. I've seen my fair share of trapped citizens beneath a building. Most will need stitching. I'll need your assistance and a steady hand if you are up for it."
Riven was straight forward. He zipped the bag shut and turned to make his way through the dusty mess of stone and metal. Bending and stepping in wide strides careful not to fall, Riven began.

It didn't take long for Riven to decide which direction to go. There were calls for help coming from one of the various collapsed buildings here. Neither one of them could ignore those pleas and they headed that way.

Seo clearly read the true concern on his face, which she shared with him. Reading people like books, she could almost see his thoughts in his body language. The questions he felt were unspoken, but they were in his movements. The resolve to help these people however he could was there too. It was glorious to see it in another person.

Picking up some of the supplies that were there for the rescue teams, she nodded but remained silent as he continued on. Accepting the additional supplies from him, Seo wore a small smile on her face. If he looked closely, that smile did extend to her eyes. Body language was something she used to communicate by so a simple nod or smile meant a great deal.

She fell into step with him and avoided the obstacles in their path with the same grace that he did. It was almost like a dance with them moving together as they did.

"I have some knowledge in healing. Spending time wandering around has given me some in that area. The request of at least a steady hand and strong stomach is answered. The help will be there when you need it."
