Private Heals Over Head

Ever since the girl escaped from her home planet of Veradune, she had been traveling primarily via public transport. Sometimes, these flights went well for her, and other times, not so much. Her arrival on Naboo was bumpy, and as Pitié ran out of the large spaceport, she rubbed her rear end. She had been handed from guard to guard as she was escorted out, and then her butt was kicked with the admonishment to stay off of their ship and out of the spaceport.

Letting out a very feral growl at them, the young woman ended up losing her balance and went tumbling into the lovely canal that was next to the spaceport. The shock of the water and the entire situation didn't help her mood at all. At least the water was helping to clean her dirty clothes. Shrugging her shoulders and swimming to the other side, she lay on the shore for a few minutes before the smell of food reached her nose.

Unfortunately, the food was not at all fresh and had been thrown away in the trash. That didn't matter to the Zorren, and she followed her nose. It brought her to a wall, which she struggled to crawl over. She did her best to sneak around the private compound and found the food she had been searching for.

Squealing slightly, she rubbed her hands together and practically dove into the trash. Her fluffy, ash-colored tail was in the air, and her head was in the dumpster. Reaching out, her fingers found the leftovers...

While his family was offworld at the moment. He was tasked with watching over the Porte homestead, vineyard and such. Granted his Mother and Father had their own security over the home and property. Things just tended to slip through from time to time. The Jedi Padawan was doing his normal routine patrol around the family estate. There was no set schedule as he just conducted his own patrols.

It was in the distance that he caught sight of someone, or something taking a leap into one of the trash compactor devices.

"Curious...." Aiden muttered as he closed the distance between himself and whatever it was within the compactor. It wasn't worry or fear that he sense, something more.

He sensed a form of desperation. Naboo did not have its fare share of homeless here, however nothing did surprise him anymore.

"Can I help you?" Aiden inquired towards dumpster. Wondering what lay within the

The warm and slimy food was entirely edible to the girl. The taste didn't matter to the young, starving woman. Even the smell didn't seem to phase Pitié. Chewing on the soggy sandwich, one of her ears tilted toward the noise Aiden made as he approached the compactor. She finished chewing and swallowed the vile offering. For the moment, her hunger was staved off even though she still craved betting eating.

Wiping her grimy hands on her equally dirty clothes, Pitié stood up and started climbing out of the dumpster. Grey-colored hands appeared over the edge, followed by an ashen-colored head. Her clothes were originally black but had also likely faded to grey.

"Help me how?"

She sat on the edge of the compactor and looked at the man she was speaking to. Motioning to herself, she smiled slightly before talking again.

"Pitié."

It sounded like she said pity. This was all she remembered of her name.

"Help me how?"

Aiden was slightly taken back as the question seemed to confuse him for a second and then he chuckled slightly. " I mean are you looking for something?" Aiden inquired until she spoke a single word.

"Pitié."
He noted as she motioned to herself and the word ran through is mind again.

"Is that your name?" Aiden inquired as he placed his hands behind his back. Intuition serving him well as he glanced towards the compactor and then back to her. "Would you like some food?" Aiden inquired as he glanced towards the door to his home. There wasn't anything malicious or suspicious that he sensed. She seemed lost, but there was something in the air about her that implored Aiden to trust and reach out to her.

"I'm not the best cook in the world, but it would definitely be better than the trash compactor." Aiden said as he beckoned her to follow him. "At least I hope its better than the trash compactor." Aiden muttered under his breath. He remembered he cooked for Addison Porte Addison Porte once when he was just starting out and she didn't care for that at all. Thinking about that he couldn't help but laugh.

It almost seemed as if Pitie didn't quite understand that she was trespassing and that this property was his. When Aiden rephrased his question, she nodded and picked up some of the rotten food again. Then, when he asked if she wanted food, she nodded even harder.

"Yes. I came for food. These smells drew me in, and here I am. I am Pitie, and I can't cook at all. You cook better than Pitie already."

She didn't question him and accepted what he said as truth. Standing up when he motioned for her to follow him, she glanced around again, checking for potential threats.

"That is trash? Why throw good food away?"

Leaving the disgusting leftovers behind, her hand waved in their direction.

"That is trash? Why throw good food away?"

"Well sometimes there isn't room anywhere to store it, and if those that do Security and work the vineyard don't want it then it has to be thrown out." Aiden would've liked to have maybe stored it away for the homeless of sorts but here on Naboo, there really wasn't much cause for that.

"Have a seat!" Aiden said while pointing to the chairs near the counter. "I'll get you some blue milk, I'm quite attached to the beverage, my second being hot chocolate. I save that for when it gets cold though." Aiden said with a small laugh as he poured her a glass of the blue milk and set it near her. He began to look in the fridge and pull out a few assorted meats that he could cook and some veggies for his new friend. And within a few minutes he would start cooking.

"So what brings you here to Naboo? Have you been here long?" Aiden inquired while continuing with the cooking.

The wildling young woman listened to Aiden and looked like she understood. Nodding, she carefully sat down on one of the chairs. This whole time, her eyes darted around, and they didn't stay still for very long. Sticking her tongue out when he mentioned chocolate, Pitie knew she didn't like it.

"No chocolate. Bad for Pitie. Makes sick. Blue milk also sound bad."

Tilting her head curiously as she watched him prepare some food, she quickly reached out a hand to try to grab one of the raw meats from the counter. She totally ignored the vegetables. Looking at the milk, she sniffed at the glass before picking it up to take a drink.

"This is better than Pitie thought."

When Aiden asked if she had been on Naboo long and what brought her here, she stuck her tongue out again; she seemed to be thinking.

"Not long here. Ship kicked me off, and I followed my nose to you."

Pitie wasn't trying to be deceptive, but her understanding of Basic was still a work in progress. The girl just didn't have the words to tell her whole story. Sitting up straighter, she intelligently observed how he was cooking the food.
