Heartache (Salvor, Romeo)

It had been four months since Keturah's mission on Kashyyyk. Though it felt to her as if it had only been days ago. Within the week, she would turn sixteen years old; Finally to be considered a young woman. But her mind was elsewhere. Every night when her eyes closed, she would relive those moments she had spent with Salvor, her gold-skinned Zabrak. The strange warmth in her chest when he looked at her. The sound of his voice. The touch of his lips. They had given her nothing but mornings of happiness for a time. But now, they were beginning to hurt. Mainly because Salvor had not spoken to her since then, or even come to see her. It was as if he was avoiding her completely. The worst part was that Keturah had no idea why. Had she said something wrong? Done something hurtful? She didn't know. But the distance was taking it's toll on her. She sat in her father's lavish room at his small breakfast table, as she normally did. For the past few days, she'd been very quiet, barely touching her food and hardly giving Romeo so much as a grin. Her eyes had lost their unnatural luster, looking dark and dull. She looked so fragile and pitiful that one gust of wind might shatter her to pieces.

Romeo was walking into his room, already feeling that his daughter was in there waiting for him. Something had been up, something had been eating at her, though what it all was, Romeo did not know.
When he looked at her, his red eyes turned into soft crimson hue, caring, and ready to listen.
"Keturah, what is wrong my dear?" He asked as he stepped to the table, his caf in one hand, the special datapad she had upgraded for him in the other. He placed the datapad down on the table, and sat across her. Taking the cup of caf to his lips, and sipping the warm, black, and strong liquid, he set that down next.
The back of his head had already guessed Salvor was behind it all, even though Romeo had tried to talking to the boy, he was stubborn, and his Sith ways brought him to a even more hardened state.

Keturah looked up at her father, her face obviously in a state of depression. "Nothing's happened. But...... Maybe that's the problem......" She replied, her voice flat and lifeless. She stared down at the cheese souffle in front of her. It would've been delicious, if she was hungry. The cooked golden hue of the top wasn't helping her to forget about the problem, either...

Romeo leaned forward in general concern for his daughter, and her problem. "Well baby girl, I maybe a king, but I am no mind reader," He gave a soft chuckle, "I cant help you, if you dont tell me what burdens you." He actually wasnt ready to have such a discussion with his daughter, was it really his place to just hop back into her life, regardless that his return had brought a shadow age back to the empire, was he in the right to get into her business, and try to help her?
Of course! He was her father after all! And if she didnt want him back, she would have told him.

"........I...... I don't know what's happening......." Keturah said, her voice cracking at the end of her sentence. Tears started to fall slowly down her face as she covered it with her hands. Her sobs were soft and pitiful, her tiny frame trembling. "......I could've.......I could've died two times......... But I didn't........ Because he was there! But now........ Now.........." She cried, her words slightly muffled by her hands.

Romeo finished her sentence, "And now he is not here?" He coughed. "Well emotionally he is not there...the boy has been through a lot, even though he will not speak of it, he is going through a battle of the internal kind." He sighed. "I have tried to speak with him, I was either too up front with him, or he is just not trusting of me...or both...just maybe you would have a better chance of getting him to speak his mind." He stood up, and walked over to his daughter, took her hand in his, and smiled at her.
"He is a Sith dear, his way is not like what we teach here...if you want, one day I will teach you the history of Sith so that you can better understand it, but maybe...we should bring him in? make this a date....no...nevermind..not in my room?" He went wide eyed. "I dont want ya'll doing things in my room."

Keturah sniffled, but let out a tiny little laugh. "N-no....... Not in your room....... But if he doesn't want to come, I don't want to make him........" She wiped her eyes a little. She wasn't sure that Salvor would even want to look at her. She knew that there was something really bothering him the last time she saw him. He didn't show it in his face, but his eyes were distant and unfocused. He might talk to her. He might say nothing at all. She didn't know. But she wanted to try. Any more time away from him might just kill her.

"My dear, I am king, and what I say is law...." He pulled out a comlink. "Get me a speeder for four ready outside the keep." He threw the comlink back into his pocket. "Come go get ready, I will tell Arnex to prepare. "We are taking a road trip...a space trip....just get ready." He lifted her up, and gave her a big hug. "We will make this work, trust me."
A few seconds later, ushering the girl out of his room to prepare. He took the comlink back out. "Salvor? Would you get ready please? We are about to take a trip to a place of the dinner sorts."
Then he entered something on the datapad that would be later unveiled to all.

He chose not to responded the his commlink as it went off, the king wanted something, it didn’t matter what, he wasn’t interested. He wasn’t interested in anything this place had to offer, for it offered him nothing. He picked the commlink up and for a moment thought of throwing it against the wall, or calling back and telling Romeo to fuck himself. He hated it here, hated what he had become here.

Never the less, he did as he was told, washing and dressing himself in some of his finer vestments. Simple but elegant, black slacks and a black dress top both accented with periwinkle. He hadn’t bought the clothes personally, but they fit and he was told it matched his eyes, which was apparently a good thing. It some how made him more appealing, though he could not imagine how or to whom. Briefly he thought of Keturah, he gut twisted in knots, he filled with bile and anger, lust and joy, a normal day and any dark sider would be happy to feel these emotions, to draw strength from them, but he could not control what he felt, and one should be empowered by emotion not enslaved to it.

It had only taken him a few minutes to get ready, he swept from his room and down out side of the great castle waiting to meet with Romeo to go on their little trip.

Keturah studied herself in her bedroom mirror. She'd done what she could with her face, but her eyes were still much duller than they should be. Her stomach was churning with painful butterflies. She was incredibly nervous. Was what her father was doing right? Would this help anything at all? Or would it just make things worse? Salvor didn't need to be pressured. He had his own life to live, and his own way to go in the galaxy. If that life didn't include her... Though it truly hurt to think of it, she decided then and there that she'd move on. no matter how much of a lie that sounded like. Taking a deep breath, she exited her room and began making her way to the docking bay where her father was waiting.

Romeo dressed in his simple robes, and other attire. Fitted his good boots on, and made sure to have Shadow Luster with him. When all was complete, he headed down stairs, and met with the Zabrak. He bowed before Salvor. "I am glad you didn't resist, this is will be a great evening dinner." He smiled at the young man. "Now we just have to wait on Keturah to get here."

Of course, she was coming. Why, should he be surprised? Salvor just smiled back, doing his best to hide his discomfort.

His mind drifted back to that day in the woods, being lost, trapped in the never ending tree, seeing the ghost of his mother and giving in to his pain. Anger burned in his gut, in his throat as if he had just drank a glass of Orryxian cats blood. He pulled her close, her porcelain white skin was so, smooth, soft, inviting, her raven black hair, smelled of citrus and flowers, it was intoxicating, she was intoxicating.

He snapped back to the here and now.

“Hopefully, we do not wait too long.”

She walked with a swift stride until she reached the last corner. Beyond that corner was her father. Beyond that corner was.... Keturah's pace slowed considerably before finally reaching a halt. She felt light-headed. She felt sick. She felt excited. She felt frightened. Her legs felt like two lead weights, refusing to let her budge. Her thoughts went back to Kashyyyk. The way his golden skin had glistened with sweat after the Terentatek attacked. The way his amethyst eyes, so gentle, watched over her in the wilderness. Her heart began beating rapidly at thew memories. Blinking, Keturah pulled herself back to the present. After a deep breath and a few words to calm herself, she mustered her courage and rounded the corner. Both Salvor and her father came into view. Nervously she walked over to them.

"AH! She has finally came!" He said stepping to the side that she could walk in between them. Already the speeder was waiting for them. "Come, we leave for a very great place, Nar Shaddaa!" He smiled. Stepping down the stairs from the Keep's doors, he sighed, taking a deep breath of his planet's air.

Nar Shaddaa?! This time he could not help but show the excitement he felt. He hadn’t been to Nar Shaddaa, in over a year. It seemed a strange place to miss. Every time he had gone to Nar Shaddaa, it had been as a slave, as a Hutts, trained killer. He was little more than an attack dog, sent to rend flesh and call down vengance, it was called justice, but to a Hutt, there was seldom any difference. But it had been, as close to a home as anywhere.

Keturah came up to them and something stirred in him, in his chest, in his gut and in other places as well. He had seen her dressed this way only once before. The same night he had truly been introduced to Romeo. The King, had proven that Salvor was, not nearly as skilled as he needed to be. It was the day he agreed, to become apart of this empire and make Keturah, a semi-permanent part of his life.

Salvor, bowed to Keturah and followed down the stairs after Romeo.

Keturah did an inaudible intake of breath when she saw Salvor, her eyes widening slightly. He was dressed very nicely, in a clean black suit with a shirt that made his eyes even more vibrant than before. He was so.... She blushed a little bit, looking off to the side. So, they were going to Nar Shaddaa. She never understood her father's taste in planets, but nevertheless. She slowly followed them onto the landing pad. She stood slightly in between them as they walked. She didn't say anything to Romeo or to Salvor. Though, she was a few inches closer to Salvor than her father.

Romeo pointed to his yacht, the Eths, and walked the two to the ship of massive size. "Prepare for a short trip, its not far from us." He smiled and opened the ship's hatch on its underbelly, this turned into a ramp into the three story yacht. "Watch your step, and do not go into my room. Everything else is up for grabs."

Salvor boarded the massive ship and wandered around a bit before finding a room to himself and settling in. he dropped to his knees and began to meditate.

Keturah decided to just walk around for a while, looking out the windows when she saw any. She didn't know what else to do. Salvor had gone off alone, and she didn't want to bother him. Her father probably had some things to do on the bridge, so she didn't want to bother him, either.
