Description:
In being contracted by Aster Rose Baelor of the Iron Empire to create a line of protective and fashionable clothing for her and her bodyguards, Joza set to work creating Heatflex. Heatflex is a fabric made from shell spider silk interwoven with a crystal weave made from warming crystals that offers resistance to Csilla’s frigid environment. Because of the fabric’s warming properties, it is not suggested for use in warmer environments for fear of overheating. The shell spider silk provides resistance to and deflects standard blaster fire and vibroblades, but offers no added protection against lightsabers. Blunt weapons, slugs and sufficient kinetic force will also tear right through the fabric.
Because of Heatflex’s versatility, it can be died and cut like any other fabric. This allows for a versatile range of clothing to be made from the fabric, though there are some limitations. A knee-length dress in the snow made from Heatflex will only heat and protect whatever the dress covers, leaving any exposed skin or uncovered area to be susceptible to the cold.
