- Description: Powerful darksiders who wield and worship the Dark Side of the Force with tremendous authority. As the spiritual leaders of the Brotherhood of the Maw, they are considered sacred holy men spreading the word of the Hidden Maw [Bogan] and the glory that is the 'Scripture of the Hidden Maw'. Each member of the Heathen Priesthood is a powerful Force-sensitive with mastery over mental dominance and magicks of their own.

- There is roughly twenty or more Heathen Priests within the dark clergy at a time. This is not due to limiting of recruitment but merely the selective nature of the priesthood.
- In order to join the Heathen Priesthood, one must submit themselves willfully and totally to the Dark Side of the Force, the Hidden Maw as they claim it. The devotee must be Force-sensitive and have a strong presence in the Force, they do not tolerate the weak or feeble. Only those with the power to wield such dark energies can be among the chosen.
- Initiation is bathed in tradition and ritual, the member to be is given a dagger and must sacrifice someone connected to the Ashla [Light Side of the Force] of equal Force strength or more. This act signifies not only the devotion of the member but the vow to wipe out all life in order to correct the great error of the galaxy. At the end of the ritual, the Heathen Priests gather and drain the remaining lifeforce from the dying individual.
- There are many ways to join the Heathen Priests, the first is conversion to the religious beliefs and submission to the Brotherhood of the Maw. The second option, the more common among average marauders and folk was the breaking of the mind, reprogramming by the Taskmaster

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Heathen Priesthood was founded in [REDACTED] by explorers upon discovery of an ancient text left behind on a lonely broken world within the Maw Cluster by a group of explorers who would become. There is little to no record of what led these priests, nor when, to the Unknown Regions. Let alone that such dark writings would change the face of their society forever more as they gathered raiders and murderous cutthroats as thralls within the ranks of a now rapidly developing cult.
Annually these raiders and pagan priests would venture to the Maw Cluster on pilgrimage to pay homage to their dark deities. It was here they discovered an unfinished worldcraft from the Imperial Era and brought it back to their people to start the foundations of the Brotherhood of the Maw. The vessel became their holy city, and around it they amassed a fleet of followers who came to hear their unholy patrons' words. The Heaten Priestdom slowly began broadcasting to the galaxy until generations later they began becoming aggressively violent, sacking colonies throughout the Unknown Regions. Their belief came to the forefront where they sought to purge the galaxy and make it clean for renewal by the Hidden Maw.
Centuries passed and the cult grew little by little until the ascendancy of a lone individual known as the 'Voice of the Maw' to the ranks of Heathen Priests. His word spread like wildfire, inciting violence and death to all it touched, the cult grew and this lone man was proclaimed the mouthpiece of their gods. Spouting prophecy and foreseen truths to the masses as their army grew. This 'Voice' rallied the dark raiders into a coherent crusade and began spewing forth the will of the darkness, the will of the Hidden Maw with honeyed words.
