- Combined Crystal: Using the same techniques he used in the creation of Gianna’s Lightsabers, Sol and Astra, John combined the Healer’s Grace and Healer’s Flux Crystal’s he’d created specifically for this purpose. The combined crystal acted as a focus for Gianna, allowing her to enhance both her abilities using the force to heal and to affect the world around her through the process of telekinesis.
- Aura: The crystals give off an aura in the force that surrounds the user in an area in which boosts healing. Even if the wearer isn’t actively drawing on the force those surrounding her will find their wounds healing faster than they would naturally.
- Healing: The Crystal at the centre of the Heaven’s Light is an amalgamation of two other crystals, one of which was the Healer’s Grace. Through this synthesis of two crystals, John was able to create a crystal that confers the benefits of both crystals onto the user.
- Amplification: The combined crystal acts as a focus for the force, especially the power of healing. While wearing Heaven’s Light Gianna’s ability to use the force to heal people is enhanced, she can heal more people for longer and better than she would be able to naturally.
- Aura: The crystal has an aura that extends around it through the force, creating an area which boosts passive healing. Those around Gianna would find their wounds and ailments will heal faster and they will recover faster.
- Telekinesis: As with the ability to heal, the amalgamated crystal also comes with the ability to improve telekinesis, allowing Gianna to manipulate more objects with a stronger force than she would be able to naturally.
- Stasis: A daughter power of telepathy, the crystal makes the power of stasis easier for Gianna to access and use, allowing her to put the most badly injured or sick patients into a stasis, saving their lives while she works on them.
- Wings of Light: The silver wings set with diamonds are also force imbued, providing the wings with the invulnerability that comes with force alchemy as well as a final power. John knew Gianna would always run towards those in danger if they needed her regardless of any danger to herself. The wings, therefore, he wanted to enchant to give her the wings she needed to get where she wanted, or to get away from a tight spot with an injured patient. So he gave her the wings to fly. Or to teleport, imbuing the silver setting with the ability to fold space Gianna and anyone holding onto her upto 500m in the blink of an eye.
- Like a diamond: The dual shades of the diamonds within their silver setting are enough to catch the eye, while being understated enough to fit in with any outfit and be appropriate for any setting.
- Beacon: The passive aura of the crystal makes it impossible to hide, a beacon shining in the force for any who are capable of sensing it.
- No Force: The presence of a Yasalimir or Voidstone can disrupt the force, preventing the user from using teleportation and stripping the necklace of its alchemized resistances, and weight.
- I can't see you: Because the teleportation is a linear transport between two points you can only hope that you’re not teleporting into a wall or other physical object.
In a galaxy bursting with Force Users the proliferation of Force Artifacts was perhaps inevitable, from imbued weapons to jewelry, it took a small amount of training in alchemy to allow one to create those artifacts you could see adorning many of the Force Users scattered across the galaxy.
The Heaven’s Light was anything but an ordinary artifact, it was John’s ultimate creation as a craftsman. Every aspect of the necklace was designed and crafted from the ground up by the man as a gift for Gianna Aegis to replace the necklace lost on Nar Kreta.
Utilising all of his skills, John visited various locations which were important to the Jedi, locations where she’d made a major impact on the force, collecting the flowers from the locations so that he could gather them, utilising his skills in chemistry to convert the flowers into crystals, cutting and polishing them to a sheen before he merged the crystals into the shape of a heart. The combination of the crystals had the benefit of utilising both sets of powers.
Once the crystal was set up John turned his attention to the setting, handcrafting it from silver before he passed it onto an alchemist to imbue with the ability to fold space. He knew that Gianna would throw herself into harm’s way to rescue or heal those who needed it, regardless of any danger to herself. So, he wanted to give her wings to fly. Or to teleport. By folding space around her, the necklace allowed Gianna to appear near those who needed her help or get them out of danger.
The result was a masterpiece necklace, one that would be as suitable for a medical ward as a planetary ball.
