Heavy Metal Kitty - Phrik Mining (Ask First)

Gavin XIII

Sour Candy Sithspawn
Floating above Alderaan was a little rental junk freighter that had never quite made it back to its rightful owner on Nar Shaddaa, even after nearly two months of being in the hands of the proprietors of the new and improved Port Nowhere. Inside the little freighter were a sugar-addicted blonde man and a technology-obsessed kitty with a metal arm.

Gavin leaned back in the pilot's chair, looking for his kitty-captain. Where'd she go? She wasn't asleep on the holoprojector or anything, or even on the cushions around it. He got up, tiredly walking towards the storage compartment with a growling stomach. Time for some dinner as soon as they landed, for sure.

Kitty was busy tinkering with HK-666 Poking at it's internals, working them over.

"Ya sure you want all these metal plates attached? You're gonna be quite heavy"

The Kitty peered into the sinisters droid's eyes in question. She was the only one truly allowed to touch the droid, and the droid seemed almost affectioned toward it.

"False Threat: Break something and I will make a pillow out of you, furball"

"Annoyed Observation: I cannot threaten you, Master"

The droid shook it's head, watching the little kitty slowly attaching the heavy metal plates to it's chassis. They were to go mining today the droid understood, and he would provide 'security' to them during this time. Nearby to them lay his mandalorian made disruptor rifle, the assassin droid's preferred weapon

Gavin grinned when he found his captain and their grumpy old droid. Obviously, he liked Lizzy, but now he was starting to see HK as a fun person to be around. He gave the kitty cat a quick ear rub, then sat down to watch.

"My fuzzy pillow lady, Six, and don't you forget it... Having fun with your present, there?"

He ducked his head into the nearest crate and nabbed himself some kind of salted meat. Good stuff.

Strained Courteousness: "Master, my circuits warm with joy"

Or perhaps it was an internal component about to overload and take them all on a one way trip to hell? Likely not, the Kitty engineer do what she was doing. Nearby to the droid lay it's disruptor rifle, though it was far from the only weapon the droid had on it's person at any one time

"Ya Know Gavi, Cortosis ore is toxic right? We need to get some labor droids or somethin"

She murrmurred as she finished her work on the HK unit. The freightor had set down by this point, and kitty clamped the HK's access panel shut with a metallic clank, as she tramped over to her to the freightor's cargo bay ramp

"Warm with joy, huh? You sick, bud?"

Gavin nodded as he chewed on the stringy meat. That was why they were here instead of sitting in orbit around some ancient Yinchorri mine or something. Phrikite was much less dangerous to be around, and a bit more lightsaber resistant. Definitely worth the longer trip.

"I know, Lizzy. Which is why I... changed the plan. Phrik, phrik, phrik, phriiiiiiiik... Although we still need some miners or a droid, cause with just us, it'd take weeks."

"Wut?" She said as she wandered over to the window of the cargohold. Clambering up onto it she peared outside "Yup, Yup thats not our original destination. Sooo We're mining Phrik now? Uuugh I have to do heavy lifting now don't i?"

Statement: "Phrik will make an excellent plating for me, Master"

The droid could see it now. It's beautiful chassis enlightened further by durable Phrik plates. Who could hope to stand against that? Certainly no other competing model of Assassin droid had such upgrades to boast of. Today would be a good day, the suprisingly Jovial droid decided. Weapons were certainly next on the list.

"Yeah, Alderaan... Last time I was here, I died. Promise I won't this time, though... and that you won't have to do the lifting."

Gavin stroked Lizzy's ears for a few moments, and then admiring time was over. He had to land them, becuase the autopilot was not a particularly smart one. A quick squeeze, and he walked back to the cockpit to make sure they didn't blow up in the atmosphere.

"You try not to"

Lizzy's hand wrung around the wedding ring on her finger. She had never taken it off, even after her mate had abandoned her. She leaned her head against HK's chassis and sighed, as she felt the ship slowly descend toward the planet

"Not like I'd be gone if I died... I'd just be back um... different."

Gavin very slowly and gently flew the ship into the atmosphere, flicking switches and buttons to make sure their shields didn’t go down, or the engines didn’t suddenly kick out. He remembered this approach perfectly, with the view of the mountains and the little city that poked out of one of the valleys. If other people out there remembered dying and coming back, he didn't know... but he certainly remembered his own death.

"And hows that?" Kitty asked softly from near the rear of the craft

She still hadn't moved. In a pouty mood, the little kitty planned to leave most of the real work to Gavin and HK

Gavin grimaced a little into the dashboard of the ship, then looked up again as he circled around the spaceport to look for a landing area.

"Well... cloning vats and... removing my brain from my body. It's happened twice before, it can be done again."

Thinking about what the process was probably like made him cringe. He, of course, didn’t remember being a disembodied brain waiting for a new body... but the idea disturbed him, no matter how glad he was to be alive.

"I wonder if I could put you in a droid body.."

Kitty wondered out loud as she lay back in the ship. She had plopped herself into her wall perch and looked about to nap again

Gavin XIII

Sour Candy Sithspawn
"Oh, I'd prefer that you didn't... My old master asked me if I wanted to be a droid, once. I got this body instead. Or, the first version of this body, anyway."

Gavin put the ship down right next to a large rock that seemed to have part of the port built into it. He walked up to Lizzy and reached up to stroke her ears.

"You alright? We don't have to go out right this second... Or today at all, actually. Could just rest."

Gavin smiled as he watched her curl up in her napping spot. He gave her one last scratch before walking back over to HK and putting a hand on his shoulder.

"C'mon, Six... Maybe if we're fast, we can give Lizzy a surprise when she wakes up."

He nodded towards the boarding ramp, then walked out with a quick wave to Lizzy. Time to get to work.

" Irritated Statement: As you wish, Master, However, my servos were not meant for sprinting"

The HK unit chimed in as it trotted out of the freighter behind the tall (Well, comparively short) Blonde, it's rifle in hand

"Well, I really hope you're not set on running there. Because that seems like an exhausting idea. I'd rather get a speeder for the day."

Gavin headed off towards the parking lot full of vehicles, taking a look at one of them with an impressed nod. Within five minutes, the blonde had yet another rental vehicle that would never be returned. He took a bow to the droid and sat in the driver's seat.

"C'mon, Six, it's fun time."
