Description:

The plasma caster is load with a cylinder of liquefied plasma gas, and it takes a while to reloaded it.

Each cylinder would only last thirty minutes, if the operator held down the trigger continuously.

The weapon is also heavy, and reduces the speed that operator can move.

This is due to all the weight of the weapon, and if the operator is carrying a reload.

The weapon for the first forty meters let out a white hot jet of plasma, which burns at twenty thousand degrees Fahrenheit.

After which the heat begins to tail off rapidly till after another sixty meters, a hundred in total the weapon has little effect.

This weapon is primary use is to clear corridors and rooms, as even if the enemy is hiding behind a door or a wall, the flames will still hit them if close enough.

This is due to sheer heat intensity and of the weapon, and cause radiant fire of near by flammable objects.

The operator does however need a re breather, or some sort of oxygen supply as over use in an unventilated area would lead to co poisoning.

this is a bit much. A flame thrower only has about 2 minutes of fuel. Also continuous use will heat the weapon up melting the components and more likely buring the gunner badly first. Most eat through their fuel at a rate of at least half a gallon a second. Most generally only spray in 7 to 10 second bursts.

Even larger vehicle mounted throwers did not spray more than 10 seconds.

The rate of fire is just too much.

Now since this is Star Wars and it is using plasma I figure it gets more than a standard flame thrower but 20 minutes for a canister is too much.

your best bet is to list it in a burst time. Something like number of this many second bursts per canister. say 5 second bursts. and something like 50 per canister. This is a man portable weapon after all. Nothing lasts 30 minutes on one reload.
