DESCRIPTION
The Hydra-class Heavy Torpedo Octet is a very large warhead launching weapon built for Imperium Forge Works use. The launcher itself is a large cluster of eight launchers grouped together with variable link fire settings from one tube to all eight at once. The weapons main operation is that of bombardment. A vehicle with this system can launch the eight warheads then reload for another volley bringing unimaginable firepower to bear on a target. The Hydra can launch any assault grade warhead if properly set up for them but has specialized IFW made torpedoes which it generally is loaded out with. Each the IFW assault grade torpedoes measure 15 meters in length, making loading time slow and limiting ammunition storage in smaller vessels.
