Heir Apparent

"Welcome to Anaxes," the pudgy little, green male alien said, "My name is Trivol, temporary appointed CEO ofTaobh Dorcha Industries. Allow me to offer my condolences to the passing of your Mother. She was an..." Promptly Via turned her head toward the man, who was a few inches shorter than herself, starring cold daggers into him forcing the man to fall silent. "I never met my Mother nor do I wish to entertain stories or condolences surrounding her. I'm here because apparently this company is mine."
Shifting uncomfortably, whilst adjusting the tie around his neck the man replied, "Ah, yes. The company. Technically you are partially correct."
"Meaning?"
"Meaning you have a claim to it, but the company is shared out to four of the company's top management. So in essence, they own it because, forgive me, you have no shares. Just a name on a file left by your deceased Mother."
"Politics," she grumbled. "So if I'm to understand you correctly, Trivol, the company my Mother built up and left to me is being withheld to my possession by greedy businessmen? Businessmen, whom it seems, have joined forces to stain my Mother's last wishes?
"As you have so elegantly put it, yes. But understand the reason you are here. They wish to allow you to purchase their shares or rather enough shares to have a slight ownership in the company."
"So now I'm to buy stocks from them to hold a right of ownership of the company. A company, I recall, is rightfully mine?"
"Actually, Miss Dolorosa, a slight ownership in the company. The four men will not give up the company entirely to you."
"Tragic," came her lone reply.

"Miss Dolorosa, they men want to meet you," he said whilst leading her through the factory. The factory was extremely active, where both droids and various species worked side-by-side on the assembly lines; doing their part to get the finished product out, where the company could reap the benefits in the form of credits. "But on separate occasions. They don't you but they did know your Mother and her associates, thus they are weary of you." Via stifled a laugh. "You mean they don't trust me. Or they fear me. Well, they are right to do so. They openly dare to rob me, whilst hiding behind corporate tactics. Very well. Let's meet these men on their terms."
"Before we leave off site to visit the first one, I would like to give you a tour of the factory, explaining what the company does. First, the company's main focuses are shipbuilding and weapons which includes biological weapons. We once supplied a couple of major governments, but over the years we reduced our business to private contracts and lesser aggressive governments. War is good for profits, yes, but it also puts a target of opportunity on oneself. So to avoid hostile aggression toward the company, we simply don't get involved with the galaxy's power struggles."
"Within the compound that sprawls over a extended length of property, we have three sperate divisions. The first is the Designing Department. As the name suggests, this is where the engineers draw up designs for weapons and ship classes. The second, the Creation Department, actually turns the designs into a reality. Finally, there is the Refitting Department. Their sole responsibility is enhance our products or other company's products which we purchase."

Feeling more annoyed than impressed by the CEO's explanation of the factory and what the company had established, she forced herself to listen; her true focus on dealing with these quartet of men. They had to be removed, rather disposed of permanently, if her plans where to come to fruition. They had plans for the company, as did she, but what she had brewing in her mind could not, would not, be accepted by them. Or the CEO. Or any other upper management employed within the company. There was a hostile takeover in the works, but not in the traditional sense.
"I appreciate the tour," she lied, "But until I meet these men and discuss the future of my company, I see no need for this tour. Now, pardon my abruptness but I would like to start these proceedings straightway. The quicker we all get on the same page, the quicker the company can bring in more profits."
"Very well, Miss Dolorosa," he responded, the sound of defeat in his voice. It was apparent the CEO prided himself on talking about the company, and she had just punched holes into his sails; leaving inside him a sinking feeling. "Mr. Reed has requested the first appointment," the CEO said brightening his tone of voice, "So I already took the liberty to have the shuttle prepped for departure long before your arrival. If you will, follow me."
