Avin Starfire
Character
Heir Hunting part two
Some where on corruscant
Avin’s head throbbed as he drifted in and out of consciousness. His thoughts were hazy and his senses dull. He thought he could see a speeder at one point before relapsing back into the pit of despair and darkness. It could have been days or hours until he awoke in the cell. His whole body was strained and his back felt like it had been stood on by an imperial walker. The cell itself was mouldy and grey. One dingy yellow light source illuminated the mould and filth of his new home. His hands slipped as he pulled himself to his feet on the metal bed frame he was propped up against. He checked in his coat to find everything but his credits had been taken. Weird he thought had it been the normal bounty hunter lot then he would have been taken almost entirely for credits. After checking out the grey room lacking a door or any windows, he slid himself up against the wall and slid back off into a light slumber.
He was awoken to the feeling of almost imminent threat and as soon as his eyes had jumped open he saw part of the wall slide back and to the side. The light was almost blinding at first, the burning white rays flooding their way into the room made Avin squint and cover his eyes. A black clad figure entered the room. The figure must have been just shy of six foot and wore a mask concealing all facial features. Avin scrambled, painfully, to his feet.
“What do you want?” he croaked out in a weak tone.
The clad figure stood silent and moved closer to Avin, grabbing his arm and thrusting him forward into the doorway. The corridor that ensued lead down into an uninspiring dull room with a table and chairs. Avin was forced by two new men into one of the seats and restrained before the other men left and shut the door behind them.
Hours went by as he sat unable to move, aching and thirsty in the new room.
“Do you know why you are here Avin Starfire?” A booming and mysterious voice asked.
“What do you want? Money? I can get money for you. Is this about the Alliance if so I was just doing a job and I was well within my rights to leave tha-”
“Silence” The voice interrupted again
“Do not take me for a fool. You are the son of Ja’soto Starfire. The traitor jedi.”
“Look I don't know my father he left me and my moth-” Avin was cut off again
“At a young age, yes we know the story it was documented in your Alliance biography. Yet even so, you hold similar levels in academia and force sensitivity. And he may even feel the need to rescue a member of his own blood. I'm sure the old man would feel guilty to see his only son cut into pieces and left in a coruscanti sidewalk. In fact you, young Starfire may make the old man wish that he never betray us to begin with. Yet if not then i'm sure the boss would love someone of your heritage to work on as a new project.”
The door slid open again and he was dragged back to his cell. Avin tried to spot some way of escape during his movement, but all the corridors looked the same to him. He was thrown into the cell and the door closed again leaving him to the dingy inside. The room now contained a bucket and what looked to be substance rations.
As he ate and drank his small amount of rations Avin sat back to think upon his encounter. His dad's name, he had been a jedi and with whomever these people were. He shook his head finding it hard to believe and eventually laying back down to find rest.
