Akhilleus
King of Makrosia
“Uncle… I need Assistance.”
It was close to midnight on the planet Hora, and Cadmus had been preparing to return to his bunk when he heard the com chirping. Head snapping to it Cadmus snatched it up, and listened to the message. Blood running cold Cadmus knew who it was just from the voice… It was his nephew Nikias, and from the tone of his voice he was injured. Why Nikias didn’t call one of the royal guards, or another squad of troops to pick him up was obvious. Nikias didn’t trust anyone else. The young man was injured more than just physically. Considering the mental damage probably done to him by his father not accepting anything about him. “I’m on my way, just hang on boy. What is your location?” Waiting till he got the coordinates Cadmus raised his breathing labored.
While only being forty-eight Cadmus was an incredibly damaged being. More so than even his nephew. Almost a hundred percent of his body had at one point been burned and it was obvious. His skin was almost a pasty gray, and he was forced to wear a respirator that pumped air directly into his lungs. Even with these things holding him back, nothing would stop him from getting his nephew. Stepping out his room two of the royal guards bowed to Cadmus. “Where are you going at this time of night my Lord?” One of the guards asked. “Shall we accompany you?”
“No. Not this time, I am just going out for a brief walk.” Cadmus assured them. “Or are you saying that I am too weak to even do that?” He asked his one red eye glaring at the guard.
“Of course not sir!” The guard said bowing and trying to show how apologetic he was.
“Good.”
