Description:
The Heka Healers were born out of a need for medical personnel on the battlefield that can defend themselves and their charges properly. The Heka Healers are comprised almost entirely of Zeltrons, many of whom have worked for Joza Perl in some capacity or are freed slaves that expressed an interest in joining. The Heka Healers are heavily bonded within their individual units, priding themselves on kinship and unity when on the job. Though they often work close together, they are capable of working alone or as individuals if a job necessitates it. These units are primarily intended for relief and humanitarian missions to dangerous worlds and unstable areas, though they are not out of place on a battlefield where they protect civilians and evacuate the wounded.
The Heka Healers are all trained in advanced first aid and basic hand to hand combat. They can handle most standard blasters and knives with ease, though individuals may be specialized with heavier/more unique weaponry. While they are as well trained and equipped as most standard infantry, the Heka Healers rarely charge into battle. They are intended to be a support unit that treats the wounded, evacuates and protects civilians/wounded if necessary, and distributes aid including food, clothing, medicine and temporary housing.
