SPECIAL FEATURES

• Single Piece Construction: Each FK-01 is laser cut from a single piece of starship-grade Duranium before being ground down and sharpened to its edge to provide a light yet strong and resilient blade capable of both stabbing and slashing attacks
• Dagger Style Blade: In order to provide as much cutting surface as possible it was decided a double edged dagger style blade would provide this the best
• Scaled Texture Hilt: Riveted into the tang of the knife is a rotational molded Plasteel hilt with a unique scaled texture that is designed and tested to give the user a solid grip in even the most austere environments
• Insulated Hilt Coating: Before being riveted into the tang of the knife the interior slot of the hilt is coated in a rubberized insulating material to prevent the wielder from getting shocked in case of accidental, or purposeful, cutting into a electrified object
• Edge Maintaining Sheath: While many companies claim their sheathes to be ‘self-sharpening’ and users will never have to sharpen their knives the team at Hekler’Kok realizes this is a crock of Bantha poodoo and only claims their specially designed sheath will simply keep the blades edge
• Sheath Adaptive Mount: The FK-01 comes with a Gription panel that can be adhere to the sheath that allows it to be mounted on virtually any surface from the users belt to any part of their armo
• Customer Personalization Options: For an extra fee customers can personalize their FK-01 with engravings of text and images and different grip and sheath colors

STRENGTHS

• Always on the Attack: The FK-01, as its name suggests, is geared solely towards combat and as such has had any frills that would lend a more utilitarian slant to its design removed to further enhance this nature

WEAKNESSES

• Lacks of Frills: Unlike most other knives on the market the FK-01 has no frills or extra features on the knife that would help in any other way besides combat

DESCRIPTION
After a long hiatus of not introducing new products to the market the design team at Hekler’Kok decided to fire up their metaphorical creative machines and begin work on a new line of products, of course the various wars springing up across the galaxy had nothing to do with this at all.

Heated debates were had on what exactly their first new product onto the market was going to be but in the end they decided to start small and produce a combat knife.

The idea of what kind of knife again sparked debate with some wanting to redesign Hekler’Kok’s C/UK-01 while others wanted to create a new knife as to not push into previously established markets. In the end the second camp won out and it was decided that a fighting knife, a knife designed solely for combat, would be the best bet.

Once this debate was done yet another sparked about the type of blade and this was fortunately solved with a simple comparison of the various types before a dagger-style blade was chosen due to its abundance of cutting surface.

With all the debates out of the way the building could finally begin. Many materials were tested but in the end they chose Duranium for the blade and tang for its light yet durable construction, Plasteel for the hilt due to its best of both worlds of being plastic and metal and last the sheath was made of a outer layer of Fiberplast with to be malleable yet tough and a inner Plasteel lining to protect the user against the blade possibly puncturing the outer layer.
