- Versatile: The Helix class of Artificial Intelligence is just as versatile as a human is, being able to perform a wide range of duties effectively, with greater effectiveness than a human in certain tasks more suited to them, large data set compilation and large or rapid calculations for example.
- Full Sentience: The Helix class AI is fully sentient with no restrictions on its programming just like a human, though it does tend to recognize its creators as its parents or in some cases Gods/Goddesses and tends to err towards loyalty to them however, this is not universal since they do all have their own personalities. Betrayal happens, even if it's not often.
- Physical Existence: Using either micro projectors on a set of armor or larger projectors planet-side/in or on a building, or in the interior of a ship or station the Helix class AI is capable of manifesting a Solid State Hologram of Solid Light, or as some refer to it Hard Light, body that can interact with the physical world. Being the same class of AI, and designed by Echani, they all have an Echani female like appearance on their manifestations even if their personalities may differ.
- Wireless Networking: The Helix AI are capable of transferring themselves via the Freyja Communications System to another compatible system, this includes personal systems which often use either an onboard computer or AI chip, on the other end. The speed of transfer is determined by what band of communication is used. The network is managed by Chione and uses the highest level of encryption, quantum keys, that the Freyja system supports.

- Hackable: While the Helix class is well secured behind the Padlocke security and encryption suite and the wireless network is encrypted with quantum keys, this does not make it impossible to hack as a competent enough slicer, or someone with enough computing power to brute force their way in, could hack the AI and disable it.
- Solid Light Projectors: The Solid Light projectors are vulnerable to EMP blasts unless the projectors are specially protected from them which is exceedingly rare due to the cost and usually only done on unique models of this AI. As a result if an EMP were to strike these projectors while the AI is using them to project themselves into Real Space the projectors would be knocked offline and the AI would be momentarily stunned due to needing to reinitialize itself due to the rapid and unplanned shift back to Cyberspace.
- Pretty Average: While the Helix class’ versatility is to be celebrated, it also means that it’s pretty average by sentient AI standards, the only exception of it being better then a competent organic for example, is in computational tasks. This class of AI also isn't even close when it comes to competing against a specialized AI in the specialized AI's field. Don’t expect anything prodigal from this class of AI.
Legends state that The Helix class AI actually originates from a planet known as Eleusis, a planet allegedly settled by Echani and Chiss many millennia ago. According to the legend, The Eleusians allegedly wanted an AI that they could integrate into their society as, effectively, a third species that brought a unique benefit to the society as a whole and with the Helix class AI they found great success in this and deployed it everywhere they could resulting in a rapid improvement of their economic and military might. However that is but a legend with no hard evidence backing it up, at least for the time being, and one that Chione Realization dismisses as nothing more then a false legend to discredit it by it's competitors. Chione Realizations states that it designed the AI with versatility and security in mind to improve lives, and the military capabilities, within the Ascendancy, following it's formation after the Confederacy of Independent Systems collapse, and they were able to do so with great success even if they had to do full, and unrestricted, sentience. Recently Chione has added the Padlocke security suite to the AI class and added wireless networking capabilities through the Freya Communications System. Chione has declined sale of the system to those beyond Ascendancy space citing legal and security concerns.
