- Combat Function: Trained to deal with force users and general no-win situations, members of the Hellfire squad are elite. Not tasked with participating in major battles or urban warfare, they are tasked with eliminating hostiles that prove tricky for regular infantry.
- Combat - All members are trained in all aspects of combat both unarmed and armed.
- Sticky Situations - Where regular Union troopers or ground force personnel would not be able to deal with some situations such as force-users, hostages, and traitors, Hellfire squad is tasked with these missions.
- Contact - When in the field Hellfire squad can go weeks without communication with Union high command.
- Unique - Not many are trained to combat force-users, therefore there are not many who can go toe to toe with a force user.
The growing amount of force users prompted the Zweihander Union to create a group of highly trained individuals to eliminate any hostile force users. While members of the squad may not be force users themselves, there are members who are force sensitive. Due to the confidential missions the squad partakes, Hellfire squad, along with other combat units that deal with sensitive matters such as force users, report directly to Union High Command and the ISB.
