Hello everyone!

As the title says... Hello Everyone!

This isn't my first time doing forum RP; but it has been a few years. The last time I did forum RP was on swtor.com back before they purged the website of everything. When that happened it a bottomless pit where my Rping and creative writing was concerned.

A little over a year and a half ago some friends started a campaign in pathfinder and convinced me to join them. It was a lot of fun and I can honestly say that it reignited passion for writing. Unfortunately I had to move back home a few months ago do to family issues so I haven't been able to do any RPing of any kind.

Then a few days ago I remembered forum RPing and did some google searching haha. Long Story short, I'm very happy to have found this site and am looking forward to role-playing with all of you.

Ps. Please be gentle with me. My writing skills are extremely rusty haha.

I've been reading through the tutorials and guidelines learning how everything works here on the forums. That plus the timeline there's a lot to catch up on. :unsure:

A couple questions that I have are in regards to character creation i guess. I'm planning on rping as a unique/prototype (made up) droid and was wondering if there's anything special that I need to do? Does it fall under race creation/technology creation? If so do I need to get it approved?

Droids go under technology creation.

It's not mandatory to submit anything to the Factory or the Codex, but it's heavily recommended to do so.

I'll probably have my droid submitted in the next couple days. Lots of catching up/reading to do here first. Plus I have a lot of researching to do for my droid. Not to mention taking a look at factions, etc. Sooo much to do...

Welcome aboard

As long as your custom droid doesn't include restricted materials (beskar, cortosis, etc. - those have special conditions attached), the Factory process ought to be pretty quick. That is, unless you decide to throw in everything but the kitchen sink. But really, it's a pretty straightforward process. Post the submission, maybe it goes through one or two quick rounds of edits, maybe it's fine to get stamped immediately. Then two folks stamp it and it's all yours.

And in the meantime, nobody is going to bat an eye if you RP your droid character and just leave his technical capabilities vague.
