Hello everyone! I've been looking at this site for a while, and just now have decided to join the community. Just to let everyone know, so they don't expect skills from me: I am completely new to forum RPing, unless you count one to two sentence posting in the Roblox RP forum, when it still existed... i know that the standards here must certainly be higher than that, so I will try to be descriptive in my posts.

Now! I'm just wondering, can I ask questions related to my character and profile on this area, or do I have to move these to the questions area?
(Wait...I just asked a question...)

Now, speaking of characters, I intend for my character to be sort of a "grey Jedi", if you will, or a grey knight, or anything that is grey/light side mix. I don't specifically like the idea that Jedi are supposed to be emotionless, but neither do I like it that the sith (Mr. Angrypants...) let their emotions take control of them. I have an idea of which faction to join-- mind you, its an idea. If people make a more tempting offer, I might consider their faction.

And that's all I really need to say right now, until some kind person answers this post. To all of those that view my post, I suppose a thank you is in order?

This website loves people trying new things and straying away from the ordinary. I'd be remiss if I said Grey Jedi haven't been done to death on this board? But I expect you've probably got something original up your sleeve and it deserves to be written anyway. So yeah. Go nuts. Just don't go flip-flopping between Light and Dark in the space of a single duel. Ha!

As for faction. Try the Silver Jedi, The Galactic Alliance, or the Republic Remnant to start. Probably.

On to the questions, since I have been given free reign.
1. Most important one! How do you get the impressive avatars, such as the one, say, Darth Carnifex has?
2. I know there's an entire place for creating species and planets, but I am planning on making a sub-species for humans. Do I post it as normal, do I add on to a specific post, or even is there a specific thread for sup-species for humanity?
3. As you can probably tell from my current avatar, I am interested in the Praetorian Guard (currently). I like their weapons, specifically the 7th and 8th Guard's double bladed Vibro-arbir. However, I also want a lightsaber. It is possible to combine these two ideas? Like a double bladed Lightsaber Arbir, with the actual blade part the..lightsaber part?

I'm not going to answer them directly however. I'm going to let you take a tour of the website and start reading. What's the old saying? Give a man a fish? Haha. Anyway. I'll start by pointing you to the Top Banner. Rules, Resources, Timeline, etc. Then you can start browsing The Factory, reading it's pins, and browsing a few of the submissions already in the pipeline.

As for avatars. Check out our Art Sub-Forum. You can request anything you want from our local artists.

Welcome to Chaos. I blundered around for a while here myself before admitting I needed help so you're a few steps ahead of me.

Jay appeared to point you in the best direction though.

As for following a specific code or whatever, Chaos is rather loose in interpretations and leave it more up to the writer how they play their character. This gal is a businesswoman, but follows the sith code. In her line of being a business leader though, she keeps her alignment totally secret and focuses on work. So it's rare one would see her display what she is, but don't think she won't.

I also have a former Jedi and Sith that now follows a grey path due to what she's gone through since bringing her to Chaos.

Don't let anybody tell you can't do something, just listen to advice I would say. I look forward to see you what get up to.
