I'm new to this forum, but I'm the admin for a Star Wars forum on fanfiction.net (Although it's categorized under Clone Wars). So I'm no stranger to role play and the usual niceties surrounding it and the code of conduct that is expected to be adhered to in order for everyone to have a good time. I'm a gamer, mostly I play Arma 3 and I am part of the 506th IRRU so when it comes to combat, tactics, strategy, etc. I'm someone who is happiest when I'm with people who are of a like mind. I have a whole slew of things I'd love to try out and would be interested if someone wanted to work with me on a starting a minor faction which is built on a realistic military basis.

I do write though, I have written a great deal of material on fanfiction.net and I am currently writing my own novel, and I have written a lot of material for my Arma 3 realism unit. It would be great to find someone who would be willing to RP with people who enjoy reading and writing, and I hope I can make a good impression and contribute to this community via my writing for this.

Quick question: If I have a minor faction I want to create, based in a unique planetary system, with unique vehicles, all of which need to be approved according what I read, how do I proceed? How do I start? And if this isn't the thread to ask that, where do I go to ask?

Typically you make the faction first, then go about subbing what you need to for codex/factory- that's how I've always seen it done. If you check out the codex and factory rules they have templates for planets and vehicles and you follow those and then a judge will pick it up and direct you from there! As Cord added, the ask questions forum is always available, and if you have questions specifically about subbing lore and creating said vehicles, the codex and factory both have discussion sections to help as well!
