Hello =)

To be honest, when I started searching for Star Wars RPs, I did not expect to find a place with over 50 members active, much less clear over 200 o_O I've been apart of other RPs, both online and table-top, and unfortunately I'm out of practice. I do have two characters I want to bring back to the scene, using ideas that I had for them in the last Star Wars RP I was in, so it'll be a bit getting them up and running =)

Other than that, nice to meet everyone =)

You can find both characters in my sig, though of course their profiles will be posted at some point xP Trying to figure out where everyone is at the moment, and how I can edit my characters to fit the story. When I made them, they were living in around 60 ABY, and there was more...stability to say the least =P

Essentially, I'm trying to find the current state of the Sith. Both characters will be joining at some point, but Sorin will have a change of heart later on, leaving, and becoming a Jedi. They will become rivals at that point because of it.

Looking over things briefly, what is the forum's policy on fractions when the person has multiple characters across different fractions? Do I join both or can I only be a part of one?

The Sith are currently in flux with a new Emperor. There is a rough peace with the other factions, several Sith have left for other factions (usually CIS or Lords of the Fringe). Now is an excellent time to be a Sith and to seize power for yourself.

Each character maybe in different factions. They could also be in the same faction, the only restriction is that they cannot 'aid' each other in research or domination roles. Those two require interaction with other writers and yes the mods do check.

I'm only interested in the Jedi and Sith at the moment, so two fractions would be my limit. I'm mostly going to be Sith right now until Sorin leaves.

What are the forum's expectations on training characters? Can you only be trained by other writers or can there be a combination of other writers and NPCs you bring in yourself? Reason I'm asking is because I have a particular direction I want Sorin to go in with his training at various points. For example, when Sorin makes the conscious decision to leave, I doubt he'll be able to leave willingly. In the process of his escape, he gets rescued by two people who eventually serve as his masters and train him for an extended period of time.

Also, what year is it? I'm seeing 835 and 836 according to the timeline, but what year is it currently?

I kinda figured on research. Sith don't like researching with others anyway, I imagine. What are you refering to with domination roles though?

Training - The board allows either: PC to PC training, Self Study via holocrons, meditation, other means (requires lots of rps though), or NPC teachers (not really encouraged since it disrupts the power structure in place especially for established factions like Republic or Sith Empire). The more esoteric force disciplines and skills are by nature harder to get and access to teachers/lore is correspondingly restricted.

That being said, just ask usually someone is willing to teach. Take myself for example: I teach dueling techniques (all forms) as well as the unique form I designed myself. I also teach Dark Side, Neutral and the few Light disciplines I know (naturally not all of them), although I am no longer affiliated with the Sith Empire and now working with the CIS, I maintain an open door policy for any FU who wish to learn and are not hesitant to take the step on the dark side. :D

Year - OK here I am stumped. I am not sure but I do think its just a year after OMNI tried to take over. I might be wrong though. Being frozen in carbonite tends to screw up my internal clock.

Domination - This refers to planetary invasions and defenses. When a faction goes to war, either with an npc or pc controlled faction, it starts a domination thread. Obviously a person with multiple accounts can 'cheat' and gang up on a writer with just one character. So this is more to level the playing field so it remains fair for all.

Welcome to the site, make sure you look at all the major factions and the minor factions that make an appearance so not to miss out on a faction you'd really enjoy. I know the Army of Light is looking for more Jedi ready to stop the tide of darkness.
