Help for a newby?

Hey everyone,

I was hoping if someone could give me a rundown on what the limits for non-force users are? I've already taken a look into some of the rules regarding oc creations, but I couldn't get a thorough look into it due to being on my phone. Any extra help would be appreciated, and I look forward to getting into some roleplays with you once I have made a character sheet.

PS: Any help on how finance, inventory and factions function will also be appreciated. Again, I was unable to get a thorough look into those pieces of information. I'm pretty much a newby here so any and all information would be of great help to me.

ok im no official but cash works pretty much how you expect. i use my characters bio to keep notes on any inventory and credits i have.
basically you have access to any cannon tech within reason.
if you want a bowcaster and YT1300 you can. but cant have a deathstar and a hand held tactical nuke.
you can make con cannon tech in the factory i do that a lot.
any special canon tech needs to be submitted say like Mace Windu's light saber. or Boba fett's Slave -1.
cred's can be earned bt performing bounties or just doing jobs or auctioning items.

so making a pair of beskar underpants would require a development thread.

What are the rules in giving your muse abilities if they aren't a force user?

There are none. Character Profiles are never reviewed and you are free to be as clever with them as possible. That said, this is a Star Wars universe. So common skill sets are still grounded in spaceships, leather boots, and laser guns. That sort of thing.

To elaborate further. This is not an MMO. There are no skill points, Exp, level ups, or lv90 Blood Elf Pallys. There are no classes, spell lists, monster codex, or legendary weapons. This website is about writing a good story. Telling a grand tale. Not about how much HP or MP you have left in your 'life bar'. Hehe. So... We try to stay away from numbers here. Your skill as a writer, (and as a character,) will mostly come from your ability to compose solid paragraphs of eloquent writing. To simply tell a story. With partners.

It's just that easy. Lulz.

What an interesting way to put it. I'm glad it doesn't possess those negative aspects. One thing I did want to clarify is that I had the intentions of making an oc who exercises experimentation. One particular example would be experimenting on a species to extract an aspect of their natural abilities to extend his own limitations. Would this be acceptable to do? The species would be something I'd create, as well.

Generally speaking, yes. Such experiments being something a fancy to both Sith and Vong enthusiasts alike already. However, naturally, I must warn against ridiculously strong abilities. Such as immortality, invulnerability, transfer essence, etc. Not because such abilities make for boring stories but because they naturally have a tendency to complicate PvP and duel arrangements. Lol.

Oh no, I wouldn't go and do anything godmod like immortality or invincibility. What I intended on doing was have my muse produce a form of white matter like the species could. It was like a defense mechanism which is expelled from the pores which it can manipulate. Not sure if that's stepping over my boundaries

Given that I have no idea what your talking about here nor any kind of imagination for related applications or abilities? ...I'm just go with;
