Though skittish when away from Faye and/or Alden, Hera takes to a protective nature when accompanying either or [/SIZE]both should she feel either is threatened. She has high energy and loves to play, but can also be quite the ‘snuggler.’
[SIZE=10pt]Training: Hera does do not have much formal training, and is certainly not trained for any kind of combat. She primarily acts as a simple pet and animal companion, leaving any aggressive behavior to be instinctual as you might [/SIZE]expect a common dog or cat to exhibit.

[SIZE=12pt]It wasn’t just an instant success to get the Vulptex which became known as “Hera” to come and be a part of this makeshift family. In fact, it took some time while the Confederacy helped to restore a crumbling [/SIZE][SIZE=10pt]Crait[/SIZE][SIZE=10pt] to gain Hera’s trust. While a large part of the Confederacy sought to vanquish the spirits of the past that haunted the depths of many of the planet’s mysterious caverns, or made the effort to reinforce the structural integrity of a long since abandoned resistance base so the abandoned planet could potentially operate as a forward outpost to defend the outer reaches of the ever-expanding influence the CIS garnered; Faye and Alden took to exploring some of the planet’s many hidden wonders. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=12pt]The caverns of the world were painted vividly in crystalline structures, that cast a colorful prism in the light that had managed to drift into the chamber. And among all of that splendor and magnificence, the crystalline canine-like creatures ran aloof and free. Skittering about and spooked by the home invaders that just so happened to stumble upon their den. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=12pt]Tentatively at first, a single Vulptex appeared before them. Skittish and unsure? Certainly. But she clung to some form of courage the others that scampered about seemed not to possess. But this had not been the only first of that fateful eve. It had actually been an underlying thing happening that entire time. For unknown to any among them, Alden had, in that time, had tapped into an ability in the Force he had no idea even existed. [/SIZE][SIZE=10pt]Animal Bond[/SIZE][SIZE=10pt] had allowed Alden and this sole Vulptex to make a connection, even if he didn’t know such a thing even existed. Even so, it’s still took time to gain the animal’s trust. Inexperience with the ability, a lack of understanding, even the adrenalyn could have been a factor in every thing that went down. However, in time, that bond and that trust was developed. And with Faye by his side in that moment, it seemed that trust extended to her too. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=12pt]Eventually the Vulptex approached the two of them. Timidly making each step; it’s pace slow and calculated. Several long moments passed before the three had any contact. Alden and Faye patiently awaiting this majestic creature whose fur was not actually fur at all, but rather some kind of crystalline formation. An almost regal disposition, much like Faye carried herself with, was what their eyes had befallen as the Vulptex stepped closer. And closer. Reaching out, Alden was the first to make physical contact with the Vulptex and thus was the first to establish an actual bond with her. Faye was soon after, and in that sense, the next to create that bond. This bond as special that three now appeared to share. But it didn’t seem to be the end all, be all. She was still unsure of whether to trust and as the two of them rose to their feet, she darted off deep into the cavern. In that moment, it seemed their ethereal experience had come to an end. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=12pt]And so they left the cave. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=12pt]But that in itself was not the end of this story. No. It seemed that even as the two left the cavern, their day spent by this hour, the Vulptex followed. She kept a curious distance, but not once did she turn back. Even as Alden escorted the Confederacy’s Minister of Influence to her shuttle, bidding her farewell, the curious creature did not turn back. Not straying too far from the two it had formed a bond with, yet not encroaching too closely either. This didn’t escape Alden’s senses, being the Force Sensitive that he was and having established that bond through an unknown application of the Force. He returned to the entrance and eventually was able to connect with the crystalline fox again. This time, however, Alden was able to befriend the creature this time and decided in that moment that he would take it with him. If anything, it may make for a decent ‘gift’ to Faye, a woman who he’d begun to develop a fairly strong relationship with.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=12pt]A [/SIZE][SIZE=10pt]few days passed before there Alden would actually move to act upon his impulse in that moment that he’d chosen to take the young Vulptex with him after befriending it. He made his way to Geonosis and presented it to Faye, and in that moment, Faye gave her the name ‘Hera.’ [/SIZE]
[SIZE=12pt]Hera has been a faithful companion to the Minister of Influence ever since. [/SIZE]
