OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
Hermes-class Priority Couriers are blisteringly fast vessels used to transport VIPs or small quantities of valuable cargo across the galaxy. Unlike most CISLO transports, they rarely surrender to pirates - the loss of any courier is liable to lead to the direct involvement of Commander Vascaldi and if at all possible, the gruesome demise of the responsible parties. This is doubly true for the company's fabled Stealth Courier Corps.
The pilots authorised to pilot Stealth Couriers are thoroughly vetted, up to and including telepathic examinations - their identities are easily one of CISLO's most well-kept secrets, with even senior executives finding the information to be restricted to a 'need to know' basis. Officially, none have ever gone rogue despite the immense value of the cargo they transport - certainly, none have ever survived embezzling their cargo.
Naturally, such individuals are exceptionally well-compensated; even Priority Courier pilots make enough to live in luxury apartments.

- The Hermes-class is outfitted with all the features and facilities one would expect from vessels of its size and purpose, among these:
- Nutrimax Dispenser for Culinary Efficiency
- N2 Neural Interface; Inbuilt Compatability
- Data-Brain Autopilot / Monitoring System
- Priority Couriers are outfitted with full-sized Stargaze Engines, despite their size. This further enhances their effective speed in Hyperspace by charting better routes faster but comes at the expense of cargo space. Combined with other advanced systems, there is little remaining space for crew and cargo - due to this and the class' rarity and expense, such vessels typically only transport the rarest of wares.
- Priority Couriers are outfitted with a Gravpulser and a Shroud device, giving them an edge in retreating from threats.
- Stealth Couriers are outfitted with a cloaking device and a HIMS system. Common cargo is listed below.
- Unusually value-dense materials such as Refined Coaxium, Kyber Crystals, and Aurodium.
- Rare artefacts such as Holocrons and Sith Swords or more mundane cultural relics.
- VIPs in need of quick and discreet relocation, extraction from war zones, etc.
- Highly confidential data that cannot safely be transmitted over the HoloNet.
- Speed Incarnate: Priority Couriers are incredibly fast, both in Realspace and Hyperspace; few vessels can match or exceed them.
- Speed, not War: Priority Couriers are more or less unarmed - their only use in warfare is running blockades and retreating.
- Limited Cargo: Priority Couriers have very little space for crew and especially cargo, compared to similar freighters.
