PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Herrel is a massive shaggy creature covered in white fur who looms over most sentient beings. They are heavily built and their long arms terminate in long fingers adorned with large claws. Their head lacks many of the familiar features of the galaxy's inhabitants, such as visible ears, a nose, or a conventional mouth. Instead four large eyes gaze out from one of the few places where bare skin is visible and a small proboscis points downward.
But the majority of these features are irrelevant, because its rare for those who encounter Herrel to catch even a glimpse of any of them. His four eyes, his strange proboscis, his white fur, are all obscured by a set of brown Mandalorian armor. Custom built to accommodate Herrel's great stature, the only visible signs left of Herrel's Talz heritage are his great size and razor sharp claws usually seen grasping a weapon of some kind.

PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS
Herrel of Clan Eldar is a calm, subdued presence. They speak deliberately and to the point, with outbursts of excitement or anger rare. Though the occasional deadpan jest is not unheard of. But primarily he is characterized by his common references to Mandalorian codes and history. He will often weigh in on decisions by saying something such as, "1478 years ago So-and-So did this so we should follow/not follow their example," or, "According to this code we should do this."
His demeanor is a result of his spiritual upbringing, which immersed him the cultural and religious traditions of the Mandalorians. Through this he learned not only of the modern Catechisms, but also historical codes of conduct such as the Resol'nare and the Way of the Mand'alor. Even though he was raised in a clan that did not follow the Way of the Mand'alor, when he was of age Herrel's piety was so deep that he willingly chose to adopt it. His actions are governed by a staunch accordance to the Way of the Mand'alor, Resol'nare, and The Mandalorian Catechisms. When doubt or uncertainty besets him, he takes comfort in the knowledge that when he dies he will join the manda and be one with his people.
STRENGTHS
MIGHT OF ALZOC - As a Talz, Herrel possesses tremendous strength. Weapons that would be too unwieldy and heavy for smaller species are borne without issue by him. Enemies within arms reach run the risk of being torn limb from limb.
CHILD OF MANDALORE - As a Mandalorian, Herrel has been well trained in combat. Herrel is no Supercommando and does not represent the best of the best, but he is a member of the pretty good.
CIN VHETIN - Herrel was immersed in Mandalorian culture since infancy and grew up in Resa, the Headquarters of the Mandokarla, the most spiritual of Mandalorians. He has a great deal of knowledge of Mandalorian customs and history, which can be of help when dealing with other Mandalorians.
WEAKNESSES
UUR - If Herrel were to ever have his helmet removed it would be a complete and utter disaster. Not only would it cause him to have failed to uphold The Creed, which would no doubt leave him utterly despondent, he would no longer be able to communicate. Talz are not able to speak Basic naturally, it's biologically impossible for them to vocalize the necessary sounds. Herrel is only able to do so thanks to a translating vocoder integrated into his helmet.
CENTER MASS - Herrel's size can make it difficult to find adequate cover during battle. He often either has to limit himself to hiding behind large structures or land features, or place his trust in his beskar.
HISTORY
Herrel was born in 874 ABY during the Season of Shadow. During the conquest of Tatooine a warrior of Clan Eldar came across a devastated household, with the only survivor an infant Talz. It couldn't be determined which side had been responsible or if it had deliberate. It didn't matter either way. Catechism VIII, "A warrior who finds a child abandoned on a battlefield shall be that child's protector." The infant Talz was taken by Clan Eldar and made one of their own, and given a new name. Thus Herrel of Clan Eldar became a Mandalorian.
The portion of Clan Eldar which adopted Herrel lived in Resa. The people of Resa lived with far, far fewer of the typical technological comforts of other settlements. It was a small, tranquil, and highly communal place to grow up. The most notable aspect of the community was the Briirud atop a nearby plateau, wherein lived the Mandokarla, the followers of Manda Ha'rud. The Sacred Way. It was impossible to live in Resa and not encounter them. Most of the teachers of Herrel's foundling tribe were Rangers, Pathfinders, and Shamans. The Jorhaa'ir, the Speaker, even made a few appearances here and there. To Herrel Resa was nothing less then a paradise to grow up in.
However it was a bittersweet paradise, tainted as it was by word of what occurred elsewhere in The Enclave. Three years after Harrel became a Mandalorian it was 877 ABY. It was 877 ABY and Harrel had mastered sentences longer then 5 words. It was 877 ABY and the Fireflash contagion struck The Enclave. It was 877 ABY and the Invasion of Rothana was fought. Three years later and in 880 ABY Harrel began his education as a Mandalorian in earnest. Three years later and in 880 ABY the Season of The Fall began. As Harrel progressed from a child to an adolescent to a teenager the bad news never ceased. Battles lost, planets withdrawn from, the New Shuror Tragedy. Adulthood was little different, only changed by Harrel going from a spectator to a participant.
In 902 ABY the fortunes of the Mandalorians finally changed, the Season of Reckoning began ushered in by the Reclamation War. The Mando'ade surged forth and their territory blossomed. In these days Harrel was one of many, an unexceptional figure who did not distinguish himself, but he celebrated these victories with tremendous enthusiasm. The feast that year was particularly delicious.
It is 903 ABY and the Season Unending has begun. The Enclave is at war with the Galactic Alliance. To Herrel, this is the next great trial of his people. The next entry in a long list of great tests. Herrel believes that the current iteration of Mandalorians will either be cemented in victory or transformed in defeat, ushering in a new chapter of change for the Mando'ade. Whatever comes next, his place will always be with his people. Oya manda!
