PERSONALITY & JEDI WAY:

Above all else, Hessen is unorthodox. Often commented that he was too questioning, too consumed by passionate inquisition, and too fearful. Hessen would argue it wasn't wrong to fear for life, and to have passion for doing what is right. It was a part of him he could never reconcile with the Jedi Code. Hessen is naturally passionate but, it is a warm and fiery passion that burns to protect, fight, and defend. He was never a "sit and learn" man. In fact, the one time he took time to study he took inspiration from the ancient Jedi Master Luke Skywalker and the teachings of his old Jedi Praxeum on Yavin IV - "learn by doing". This stuck with him and it further informed his personality as a Jedi - one guided by passion to protect, the inquisitiveness to question and learn, and the urge to be true to himself.
