Hello! Hope everyone is staying safe and healthy right now, these are crazy times. I was recently inspired to get back into the Star Wars universe since my friend started watching Mandalorian, which has resulted in us spending hours playing SWTOR these past few days. I’ve actually had this account for awhile now; I skimmed through my old writing and knew I had to get rid of it for the sake of my sanity. You wouldn’t believe me if I told you how long ago that was. I never really got deep into RP, and I honestly don’t really remember where and how to start...so if anyone is willing to help me out I would be incredibly grateful!

Greetings! There's lots of detail you can start with, but the important hing is to you start with a concept. Who or what (e.g. a Mandalorian) do you want to be? Then it's just a matter of color and fitting in somewhere that'll get you some great stories!
We're got Jedi, Sith, Grays, Mandalorians... Lots of options, lots of factions (some having a variety of character types among them), and lots of players.
I'll drop some intro deets I assembled a short time ago that might summarize a few tidbits to help get started (in addition to Getting Started, heh):

- Key Event: 424 ABY Various Organizations and the Vong come together to rebuild every world that was destroyed (example: Alderaan).
- Key Event: 428 ABY Gulag Plague spreads throughout the galaxy killing...well, a lot.
- Key Event: 835 ABY Almost all remaining sentient life is immune to the Gulag Plague, the galaxy begins on the road to recovery.
- Current Year: somewhere around 860 ABY (time's a bit fluid)
