hi guys been awhile

My life has been unstable for a lot of private reasons, I find myself making good sparks with role play characters only just to have them die due to my inactivity. How do I revive my characters? What's good advice on how to build these characters, update them, and find ways to role play with ones I want to keep ? I plan on trying to be more active, I just don't know how too . Advice would be great.

Welcome back!

Well, if your characters have some history on Chaos, you could put them through an incident that brings them to this time. perhaps they were captured and carbon frozen? Perhaps held prisoner in a deep, dark cell for these past few years? And then they come out into this new world where everything has changed. It could be an interesting story. If not, you could always scrap old ideas and come up with something fresh. Or, if a character was never active to begin with, just start that character over in this new setting.

As for how to get active, there is always the trick of finding a faction that suits your character needs. There are many factions about, and new ones popping up every day. For building characters, I would suggest keeping it simple in the beginning, then embellish over time.

A lot of the characters I had made were made during a time where I was a less mature role player overall. I care less about winning and more about story now . However it has been a long time since I have done a thread. would you be interested in doing a thread with one of the characters I have in mind ?

I just need someone whos a little patient that can kinda help me out a little if my skills are wonky and if I'm doing something wrong.

Sounds like a plan. I plan on starting a thread later today, once I figure out where the factions page is .

I am a bit stacked up with threads, and my Uni finals are coming in with a vengeance, so I'm afraid I'm not of very much help.

Besides, the only advice I can really give is: We are all in this together, and we all just want to enjoy our threads. So just focus oh having fun and enabling others to have fun as well. And if you screw up, say sorry and try to make amends. We all mess up, but what matters is how you react to it.

I think you'll do great as soon as you get into it.

You've answered your own question really. :p

Finding success in online Roleplaying comes first by finding success in your real life, away from the keyboard. Roleplaying is a form of entertainment. Of refueling your batteries for tomorrow. It is a healthy form of imagination that can lighten your load in the real world, business, and beyond. Alas. It can also help you avoid the real world too. It can become just, running away.

So my biggest advice for finding success in Roleplaying is this. Find success and stability in the real world first. Then? Well. Roleplaying is just about budgeting your time. It becomes easy. It becomes a part of what you do.
