Hidden among the roses, there are thorns.

At home on Alderaan Rianna stood in a room that she rarely came to, a room that made her feel emotions that twisted and turned inside her. She closed her eyes pushing the demons to where they could rest, and one day be excised. Having run into Marcello months before hand on Coruscant she had made a decision to ask him to return to Alderaan and look at the changes with the guard here at the, she couldn't call it a house for it was clearly a palace.

It reminded Rianna of a mausoleum. Renditions of long dead members of the house adorned the halls, they eyes seeming to follow anyone who walked the halls. Her own parents were there, it was in that room where she stood now. she looked up at the smiling faces of her parents. Only when she was in this room did it become so clear at how much she missed them.

Maeve's absence from Alderaan only made that pain more evident, piercing her sharply to the soul why couldn't she find her. Rianna shook the memories free again, this was dangerous territory for a Jedi, to live with that pain. Yokuni had said he would help her find Maeve, in time in time.

Rianna had a surprise today though she was going to ride to Pallista Spaceport, and meet Marcello and them bring him back to the coast. She exhaled, she wore riding pants, gloves, a light shirt covered with a tanned animal skin jacket. She would need to go, she had sent word to Arianna and Theo so that they could meet Marcello. there could be a day shen Rianna was not available and they would need to speak with him.

The Jedi Master depressed a button within the cockpit of his N-1T to open the canopy as soon as the vessel had come to rest at the Aldera Spaceport. Rather than wait on a ladder, the Jedi simply jumped from the lip of the cockpit down to the concrete floor below. "R9 keep an eye on her."

A series of sounds reached Marcello's ears just as the crew was removing the astromech from the spacecraft.

Still dressed in a black flightsuit, Marcello made his way to a small luggage container where his bag had been stored. Once the bag had been retrieved, the tall blonde walked casually towards the bay's exit. On his way out, he paid the requisite docking fees and thanked the dockmaster. Pleasantries, after all, often went a long way.

Entering the main corridor, Marcello made a brief stop in the refresher to change into a pair of khaki cargo pants and a dark green athletic t-shirt. The Jedi Master wore his flight jacket over the attire and allowed the worn, hilt of his lightsaber to dangle from a duty belt. Exiting the refresher, Marcello soon emerged into the main lobby and pushed towards the spaceport's exit.

Rianna stood waiting outside the trip in had been exhilarating the air cool and the views spectacular as always. This was one of those things she loved to share with everyone that came to Alderaan. The presence of Demont troops everyone a reminder of the changes that had taken place on her homeworld. Changes that Rianna did not agree with, changes that made her think of the Empire. Her House always typically supported the Republic, and sent what representatives the could.

The Crown Princess and Senator of Alderaan was a young woman named Kiyala Demont Rianna had yet to meet her, but was waiting for the time when she could. Attempts to see the parents had been refused, quite unusual for the King to refuse to see one of the nobles. But still it had happened. Rianna shook her head. That was not why Marcello was here, no this was something else, and she needed to focus on that.

Rianna looked over the outcoming travelers knowing she would see the tall blonde quite easily he towered above many. Finally she saw him dark green suited him, she smiled, "Marcello" She would not call him Master Matteo here, that would draw attention, attention that she did not want at this time. Rianna began making her way through the crowd. "Here" She waved her hand.

Finally she stood before him, "Good to see you glad you could make it, do you have everything our transportation is over this?" She waited just to make sure there wasn't something he needed to do.

Indeed word had been sent and received from his aunt that a guest would arrive today. Wearing a stylish grey suit the young Duke attended to the affairs of the castle. Inspection of the kitchen seemed most befitting at the time. More importantly he was checking on if the preparations for dinner were in order. A man dedicated to family and their honor as a noble family must pay attention to the details. Such consideration subtly shows his respect and love. Such consideration to the details lets their guest know they are appreciated and their friendship us cherished. Theo had not met Master Matteo as of yet but the careful consideration he put in for the visit reflected his aunts appreciation for the Jedi Master.

Marcello sensed his host before he ever laid eyes on her or heard her voice. When his dark blue gaze to find her slender figure, he allowed a warm smile of recognition to touch his lips. Maintaining his casual pace, he made his way over to Rianna. Marcello counted his fellow Jedi Master as a worthwhile friend an ally, but their interactions had not been so regular as to warrant anything more than perhaps a smile and a kind word at meeting. Besides, the spacer really wasn't much of a hugger.

"Hello Rianna. You look beautiful as always."

Indicating his bag by holding it up slightly, Marcello maintained his casual smile. "Yep, I'm all set." With pleasantries out of the way, he moved to follow the Alderaanian Noble.

"Ahh a charmer as always Marcello, but thank you." She turned around, showing her riding outfit, "Not the traditional Jedi look but today I am playing lady of the manor again." She walked toward their destination, "I hope you are prepared for this, I've been wanting to show you this since the first time you came out, figured this time...just do it"

As they walked away from the space port them came upon an open clearing and there their transportation waited.

She turned to Marcello, "I know you aren't afraid of heights, are you ready to see Alderaan from the sky?" She smiled broadly she would be taking him to the coast to House Organa. "My nephew will meet us, I really would like for the two of you to know one another, I think you will enjoy his analytical mind"

Marcello smirked slightly. He wasn't really sure what to say about her riding outfit. Rianna pretty much looked good one hundred percent of the time. "It compliments you." Simple enough of a statement.

Casually, Marcello followed the Aldraanian Noble to a waiting...something. He'd seen them flying around every now and then during his earlier visits, but he'd never really asked about them. "Afraid of heights..." The Jedi Master scoffed briefly though his smile remained. "I would love to see it from the sky." It was, after all, a beautiful planet. "As for your nephew...you sound like you are up to something, but I suppose I'll trust you."

Winking playfully, Marcello followed Rianna to...whatever it was they were supposed to be riding.

Rianna could see the look on his face, "its a thranta Marcello" She laughed playfully. She walked towards the creature putting her hand out, then putting her foot into the stirrup and hoisting herself over, she looked down, "my nephew, not up to anything he takes care of House Organa and its political presence here, and on Coruscant. I wanted him to meet you since you trained the guards, and to tell you we may need more here"

If there was any worry in her eyes it didn't show, "Come let me my home world" She held out her hand to help him up, "There's a hook on the back should keep your bag safe" She smiled patiently, she had waited a long time to show Marcello the beauty of Alderaan their last meeting had been very businesslike she had just had an encounter with a Sith who had destroyed parts of her home, and those who counted on her for protection.

This time, she was better prepared.

Alderaan was something else. However, Marcello did love flying, and he could handle a guided tour just fine. Having his arms wrapped around Rianna's waist, well, he could think of a worse way to spend his time. Grasping Rianna's hand lightly, he allowed her to help him up. Settling into the seat behind her, he briefly turned to fasten his light bag to the hook she had indicated.

Once he was situated, Marcello lightly placed his hands on Rianna's waist. If he was nervous about the proximity and contact, it was only because of the issues he'd attempted to help her with during one of their earlier meetings. He was hoping that his assessment of her progress a few weeks ago had been accurate...otherwise the trip could get very interesting, very fast.

She smiled that he was agreeable to the accommodations, she would have provided a thranta to him to fly on his own, but she was unsure of his skill in flying and would have been crushed should anything of happened to him.

Rianna lightly kicked her heels into the sides of the beast as it began to flap its wings within moments they were off and gliding easily. Rianna was aware of Marcello's hands upon her waist, and yes there was a part of her that enjoyed the touch but it was not over whelming anymore. She had many thoughts as to why it no longer had become that craving, practice perhaps. A strong focus she had gained, one that she had applied when a Jedi and her emotions had taken control and the dark side had welled up ready to claim her and some say for moments did. But with time and practice she had overcome that, just as she had this.

She did take a moment to reach down and put her hand on top of one of his, the warmth at the touch was welcome to Rianna. She had grown to enjoy knowing great friendship, a touch without expectation of more. This touch was just to be reassured that everything was alright. She trusted him, she had no reason not to.

Rianna pointed off to her left to the snow capped mountains, the beauty of which was beyond compare, the sports that took place within those slippery slopes had provided hours of fun for Rianna and her sisters, yes she had finally remmebered that. She smiled so broadly, "If you would like someday I'll take you there" She pointed at the mountains, "my family has a cabin there next to a lake its great for skiing and meditation, isolated. And so beautiful." She had not thought about what connotations the offer might seem to have, Rianna was just being proud of her home wanting her friends to see what she saw.

As the thranta banked over to the right the lucious green valleys sprawled out below them, the valleys full of life. Manka cats prowled through the trees, and farms to provide Alderaan
with the sustenance needed. Rianna pointed down to the manka cats, vicious creatures.

Till finally they reached the coast Rianna guided the creature out to show Marcello the endless ocean, the air fresh with a warm breeze, a hint of salt caressed the wind. Rianna smiled this was home, this was where her memories were their strongest.

She looked back at Marcello, "Hang on we are going in" The Thranta dropped down easily under Rianna's familiar experienced hand within moments they were on the ground standing to the right of House Organa, more like Castle Organa.

Rianna turned sitting sideways, "What did you think?" Her dark eyes met his blue.
