Hinter Staakten was a Junior Senator for Duro in the Galactic Alliance when his Senior was assassinated by a crack team of presumed Bounty Hunters or Spec Ops. Now currently serving as the Interim Senator of Duro, this political no-name is now poised to make daring political advances following the high-profile assassination, and take advantage of the outpouring of support for his world. Staunchly capitalistic and receiving campaign funds by iBorg Prosthetic Augments (of whom he likes to think he personally represents for the Cybernetic company given his upgrades being on public display), suffice to say that whatever political ideology the previous Senator Duro had no longer matter, as Senator Staakten falls neatly in line with the political ideology of a Corporatist.
Pro-business and a supporter of individual planetary rights, Hinter Staakten has deeply controversial views that he is willing to push openly, not ashamed of using the death of his colleague as a platform to propel his voice into the public for his own personal political gain. On his agenda includes the decriminalization of vigilante justice and the institution of vigilante regulations to help facilitate legal Bounty Hunting in Alliance space, controversial considering the circumstances regarding his ascension to Senator. Additionally, the Duros has a deeply 'flawed' ideology of what constitutes a citizen versus property, believing the Galactic Alliance should stay out of the regulation of what counts as a Sentient being, leaving it up to the individual planets to decide for themselves with their own legal institutions.
TRAITS:
(+) iBorg Augments - Senator Staakten holds no shame for his blatant cybernetic upgrades giving him sizable mental advantages over his peers, and believes that more citizens should invest in cybernetic companies like iBorg and partake in their products as well.
(+) Influential - Either by silver tongue or people invested in his political career, despite his general disposition and attitude, the man can pull influence in things beyond his political reach. Some call this corruption, he calls it making friends where it matters.
(+) Unscrupulous - Senator Staakten holds few things as sacred, and will do anything short of political suicide to advance his career, by any means necessary. This gives him a drive and determination that he may become famous - or infamous - for in the future.
(-) Unscrupulous - Considering the number of people who do hold things sacred, he will constantly be making enemies across the political spectrum. Additionally, considering he will think nothing of betraying a colleague or using their misfortune to his advantage, few will likely consider him a friend even on the best of terms.
(-) Pariah - Given his prerogative to utilize the death of his colleague as a stepping stone to a larger political platform for himself, many consider his actions as superbly disrespectful, and may consider him to be unfit for office.
(-) Cyborg Stigma - Advertise the benefits as he might, there are always going to be people who judge him based on stigma and prejudice.

Red eyes and blue skin, he looks like any other Duro. Except of course for his permanent cybernetic modifications from his head to his legs.
