Xristana was once a young pup in a large pack of Gurlanin. As the youngest, she had much experience passed down onto her that helped her as she grew. When she was of age to go out on her own, she did with haste. But, without any guidance after leaving her pack, she eventually found herself in the clutches of the Jedi Order.
At first, she thought it was the right place for her. But, eventually, she realized the truth. They knew her power and tried to contain it. She was far too much of a wild spirit for them to allow her to live her life as she saw fit. Their bonds were too much. She had to break free.
So, she did.
The first chance she had, she freed herself from the Jedi Order, running away to find her own path. One that would grant her the true freedom she so desired. This led her to being taken in by [member="Ella Nova"]. Ella taught her that she could be free while also teaching her how she can be strong enough to defend her freedoms from those who would take it from her. This led Xristana down the path of the dark side. She knew what it was she was getting herself into and that only fueled her towards this end.
Soon, Xristana adopted the name Hircine. She had heard the name before when she was reading up on tribal deities during her time with the Jedi. Hircine stuck out to her the most as it was a being related to beasts and freedom. She took the name as her own and has gone by it since.
