Hiss Hiss' Role within One Sith

Hey all. So lately you have all seen me doing a lot of Lore-y kind of stuff, what with Sith Crusades, Imperial Inquisition and the Sith Imperial Bureau. The reason for which is while other Sith Lords are Voice and Hands - I believe that Hiss Hiss would be more suited to a more Darth Jadus like position.

She would be in charge of intelligence gathering, counter-espionage, purges, Imperial Inquisition Crusades, administrative oversight and general shadowy enforcement of Sith Code and Law. (Another reason, is I don't trust my current life style - being on and off major academic projects - to be a Hand or Voice. I don;t want to be in-charge of an entire sector and then have to disappear for an extended time)

I have already begun to get Non-FU characters PM about joining the Inquisition and the Sith Imperial Bureau. So I hope to consolidate it with already OS established groups like the OSI. Also if peeps could post in my dev threading of the Metellos (which will be one of the many HQs of Sith Imperial Bureau and Hauntruss Dark Network) that would also be great.

In conclusion, I would like to ask the Sith Lords and Admins if they could grant me the honor of naming Darth Hauntruss as Master of Intelligence and Inquisition ( or an appropriate One Sithy limb themed name.)

In all seriousness, I'd have no argument against this, but it's an admin decision. Perhaps time for you to RP with the Emperor, and make your argument directly to him?

Not a Sith Lord ( ), but I like how the first round of Crusades has gone (and hopefully more are to come!), and building a system that attracts more NFUs to our faction is certainly a worthy feat.

In regards to Metellos, however, it'd probably get more attention if you posted an OOC thread in here. Give us some info to work with so we know what needs to be done and what sort of people you need, and folks will almost certainly jump on board.

I have one major complaint.

Darth Hiss still doesn't have a whip.

She essentially lacks a tool that would both motivate her subordinates and strike fear into her enemies. Without it, she is practically naked.

But, this position making you second only to the dark lord would really counteract the whole point of the One Sith.

No one person has power over the other, save for the Dark Lord himself.

I dunno, seems like it would defeat the purpose of the OS rather quick.

I agree with [member="Darth Ferus"], it's not a good idea. Not saying that you'd abuse the post, [member="Darth Hauntruss"], because we both know better, but the idea of the Faction is that nobody walks around with that level of authority, or has the ability to upend it on whim. The system functions because we're all equal, regardless of rank. Not a democracy, as such, but we all have our own voices.

At any rate, rank doesn't do much around here: Hauntress pretty much has the rank that she's asking for. Making it formal just makes sense ICly, because such gives her the RP authority to do essentially the things she's doing anyway. That's the idea behind this, nothing more. So making that post formal IC just means people know who to report to, and we have the basis for further RP. It works for me.

Maladi actually did this within canon. She ran the eyes and ears of the One Sith and held no actual position of authority and power above any of the other One Sith.

This falls under the purview of literally every One Sith member except for maybe the Crusades part since thats a personal project. This shouldn't be given to any one individual Sith since its what the One Sith literally exist for as a whole. Breaking it into one individual is just giving power to that individual that they should not have as it belongs to the Dark Lord.

Agreed Hiss Hiss is very much a Maladi inspired character along with Jadus. I dont mind that kind of thing, as for the Crusades, its a shared campaign style. Any of the Sith Lords can declare a Sith Crusade and those that lead it are cycled through every Crusade. Hauntruss is just the Warmaster, she minds the fleets and Inquisition legions in the interim.

Junra was the former voice of my previous sector. I think we know what happened there. My former master, Mierin, was the previous hand before Reverance and Vrag. Not certain if most people know what happened there, but eliminating one hand is good enough to get an offer to replace them - though I turned it down.
