Emperor Reyard VI (0ABY-5ABY)
The young Emperor having just been crowned as head of the Valiant Order seeks to grow closer with the Galactic Empire, taking a majority of contracts from them and several campaigns are launched against Rebel cells as they are seen as terrorists and causing unneeded deaths in their fruitless war. This fruitless war soon ends up toppling the Empire and the young Emperor Reyard VI and other leading officers are arrested and executed for war crimes by the New Republic.
Emperess Astrid III (5ABY-22ABY)
Astrid, learning from the falls of her successor stays out of major political events, sticking to small planetary conflicts and dealing with pirates. She struggles for a majority of her reign to keep the Valiant Order intact as after the death of Reyard VI many of the Knights abandoned the cause. Astrid makes it a point of her reign to track down these knights and execute them for breaking their vows to the Order and to the galaxy at large. However she is ultimately assassinated by one of these rogue knights in order to protect himself.
Emperor Vermilion I (22ABY-95ABY)
Vermilion, the illegitimate brother to Astrid and Reyard earns popular support through his brilliant military tactics and charisma in both Echelons and within the Top Iron and is crowned as the last survivor of the royal bloodline. Under his rule much of the Valiant Order goes under restructuring. Previous officer positions that once belonged to Nobles and passed down hereditary are replaced with an elective meritocracy allowing actually skilled officers to replaced the old guard. A clear distinction is made between the Military aspect of the Order and the civilian aspects such as the Silver Echelon, Nobility, and Civilians. The Council is established to help rule should Vermilion fall ill or other tragic events to happen, where three are elected from the Top Iron officers and three are chosen by the Nobility to represent their interests. Later an additional three seats were made for the civilians to elect their own representatives within the Order. The Council of the Nine often takes care of civilian affairs while Vermilion carries out military affairs, taking the new title of High Marshal.
Emperor Vermilion I, High Marshal of the Top Iron officially lends his troops to the cause against the Yuuzhan Vong free of pay. They hold several worlds against the growing tide, and during and even after the war these worlds supplied the Valiant Order with free materials and places to recruit to grow their numbers. This ultimately led to the Valiant Order growing to the largest in their history with over two million ground troops. These troops also participated in the Swarm War under contract and the Second Galactic Civil war for the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances under contract. However Vermillion also took contracts from the Fel Empire during his reign, praising their order and authority.
