Hitch a Ride?

Hey there,

So as the title suggests, I'd like to explore my chances out in the Kathol Outback; explore the lore, experience what it means to be a member of the Outback. I'm not entirely sure where I am to fit in the galaxy, but I do have a past on Chaos. Ex-Senator for the Republic who had the fortune to leave before it's steady fall, and a former diplomat for the Galactic Alliance (not long enough to be thoroughly considered as such.). Was also a member of the Republic Army, a soldier that comes from a wealthy background, but lost his family's company at the hands of an unknown entity because of his mother's overly sexual desires.

Born on Coruscant, escaped before it was sacked by the OS, he's had his fair run of luck. He's a bit headstrong but has a stalwart sense of justice and right. He's developed as much over his time on Chaos.

I guess I'm just looking to get a ride to the Outback (willing to pay in credits) and see if Daren could fit the bill. He's not a pilot, but is certainly willing to learn. He's a quick learner and an easy student. How's about it? Someone willing to give him a ride?

I'm honestly not the best choice due to availability and mass of threads ongoing or in the wings. BUT if you can't find someone else who fits or will do it then I will sign on absolutely. Not gonna see you hangin and waiting.

I appreciate your offer for help, and mayhaps when things cool down for you, we can thread together!

Give me some time to figure some things out and I'll get to work on a thread.

How would one realistically send out an open call to the Kathol Outback? Privately.

Sounds good.

As for the open call... You probably wouldn't.... We're not really centralized or publicized... Best bet if you're threading with Bryce I would say is you were trying to get to a certain location for a diplomatic reason, or maybe a merc contract you picked up. Ship crashes, bryce does his S&R thing to find you.

Would an unexplainable appearance on a world within the Kathol Outback suffice to start? I've seen a lot of characters being brought back via mysterious circumstances and just 'appearing' on a world. It's a bit overdone, but I think it would make sense a little more.

If not, I'll just have to RP it out before getting in contact with the Kathol Outback.

[member="Daren Silvari"] , [member="Ijaat Mereel"], Damn Aing Tii keep kidnapping people and bringing them into the outback... Some type of epidemic.

PS tag me in whenever you're ready ...

What exactly is the likelihood of the Aing-Tii kidnapping a NFU and wiping any evidence that they had done so from his mind?

I was reading on the wookieedia and it was stated that they often abducted humans to analyze their make up, or something of that effect. They had previously attempted to 'reprogram' a being to specifically search out the Codex or something like that. My memory escapes me at the moment.

Really, the only relevant thing about any of this text is the question: what is the likelihood of the Aing-Tii actually abducting Daren to explore his make-up/ possibly teach him to "Fold Space". It was stated in the Wookiepedia that they were able to teach non-force sensitives the ability.

[member="Daren Silvari"] , Still plenty of weird stuff in space, no reason to let the Aing Tii slow you down. Worm hole, random abduction.... ooh I like that one...

There are a bunch of slavers in this area, they would not only pull from the outback but from the area's beyond. Our big bad has a need for fresh subjects, what if you were out here looking for someone taken and then the bad stuff happens. Gives you not only a reason to come here but a reason to say and look for them.

Something like the ship you chartered gets attacked or runs into a bad storm in space?

That sounds well enough to me. I'll stick with that idea, sounds well enough!

No worries at all. Was only curious and exploring options!
