RATIONALE

Ever since the conclusion of the Clone Wars, the once-famed Hoersch-Kessel Driveworks, Inc. had become a shadow of its former self. Year after year, sales declined and poor choices by the upper management encouraged multitudes of designers and workers to seek employment elsewhere. By the time of the Yuuzhan Vong War, however, the corporation had managed to make a return to its roots and began producing transports and container ships once more. Despite this change, business still continued to decline until the corporation's near collapse due to the outbreak of the Gulag Plague. For centuries, Hoersch-Kessel Driveworks was reduced to little more than a local producer of cargo vessels until the modern era. Enter Count Morcus, an exiled noble of Serenno. With a keen eye for business, he utilized the resources that hailed from his noble birth in order to purchase the whole of the struggling company; designs and all! He paid the former owners quite handsomely for the sale, thereby making him the sole owner, stockholder, and CEO of the whole corporation. At present, he operates the corporation out of the shadowport, Void Station.

DESCRIPTION

Under the leadership of Count Morcus, Hoersch-Kessel Driveworks, Incorporated has begun to produce a variety of starships based upon its own, archaic designs and new blueprints devised by its design teams. At present, cargo and general transport vehicles are the main forte of the company; although the Count has announced intentions to step into the realm of military starships in the near future. With the former Serenno noble at its helm, Hoersch-Kessel Driveworks, Inc. is working towards reclaiming its former fame and hopes to serve a variety of organizations and governments with quality starships. At present, the corporation's headquarters is none other than the recently-vacated shadowport known as Void Station. Here, Hoersch-Kessel Driveworks meets with clientele and the design teams commence their work on devising new starship models. In addition, Hoersch-Kessel Driveworks possesses production facilities on both Nimban and Utapau. Here, both new designs and old are brought to life and enter into the service of whomever has the credits to purchase them.
