SPECIAL FEATURES
STRENGTHS
  • Close Quarters: Small and easily concealable, the Hogosha fits nicely into its role as a personal defense weapon. Effective in urban, in-door, and otherwise close or concealed environments, it proves useful when longer ranged, and larger weapons become cumbersome in these situations.
  • Trigger Finger: With a high rate of fire, you can be assured that your itchy trigger finger will be satisfied with the rapid semi-automatic firing that the Hogosha F-1 is capable of. Able to pop off a large number of shots in a short amount of time, depending on the speed of the operator's trigger finger.
  • Penetrating Power: The Hogosha F-1 due to its rail firing mechanism can fire slugs at rapid speeds, able to piece completely through many kinds of armors, shields, and bodies at close quarters, although it loses its harsh penetrating power at longer distances, due to the miniaturized nature of its railgun mechanism.
  • Digital Integration: Like many NDD products, the Hogosha F-1 is able to integrate with the interface of the owner's helmet, allowing access to sophisticated aiming assistance, and vital statistics for the pistol, such as remaining ammunition, and the actual status of the gun itself.
WEAKNESSES
  • Recoil: Suffering from the same higher rate of recoil as many other NDD weapons, the Hogosha F-1 does boast greater recoil than other pistols, due to the high stopping power of its rail propelled slugs, and the comparatively small size of the pistol itself.
  • Maintenance: Requiring more care, and cleaning than other pistols, the Hogosha is somewhat higher maintenance as per the complex firing mechanisms which have been built into the gun. Its advised to keep this gun well looked after in-order to ensure maximum effectiveness.
DESCRIPTION
Developed as part of Nakaioma Defense Dynamic's rail propulsion experiments, the Hogosha F-1 was the first marketable weapon to come out of the program. Very lethal in close quarters, the rail pistol is known for its ability to pierce most forms of armor, with some notable exceptions, and even then, can put most opponents on their back due to the high stopping power the Hogosha possesses. Although due to its smaller size, and lighter weight than pistols which offer similar degrees of stopping power, it is like many other NDD firearms, known for its recoil. Which must be successfully tamed by the operator before they can fully take advantage of what the F-1 has to offer. Although in particularly close quarters, sometimes recoil has proven of little concern when it comes to hitting one's target.

A weapon of practicality as much as intimidation, the Hogosha has seen use in both law enforcement agencies, and criminal organizations the galaxy over due to its particular affinity for urban and in-door environments, this makes it popular with such entities. NDD has also taken to marketing the gun as a personal, or home defense platform, allowing fearful property owners, or those who live in bad neighborhoods the ability to blow holes through any would-be mugger, or burglar's chest before they can say "Is that a Hogosha?" If one isn't careful however, they could just as easily end up on the other end of the Hogosha. In contrast, the weapon does see difficulty in rural, or otherwise 'untamed' environments, as it is higher in maintenance needs than other pistols on the market, at longer ranges, it also struggles to remain accurate, though still noticeably effective if one is able to land a lucky hit from a long range.
