Darth Wyyrlok (III) was the Second-Hand to Darth Krayt of the One Sith. His quest for knowledge and information was well-known, and his ability to pinpoint locations from material was very accurate - as evidenced by knowing of Darth Andeddu's personal, very secret library on Prakith. Darth Wyyrlok had a very specific vision in mind for the One Sith, and it didn't include Darth Krayt, and so he ensured that his powers were developed in such a way as to target weaknesses in a combat-intense opponent to a very high degree. This resulted in a heavy focus on dark arts and rituals and illusions, which he fully documented to his Holocron, with the intention of his descendants using the knowledge to continue the legacy of Darth Wyyrlok for generations to come, following his defeat of Darth Krayt.
Despite being second only to Darth Krayt in terms of Force abilities and power, and even then that claim is debatable in Darth Wyyrlok's favor, he had earned a reputation for mastering very specific combat skills and powers. His ability to instruct and convey mastery was evidenced by his daughter's, Saarai, ability to use Telekinesis to best a Sith Lord, despite being an Acolyte in rank. He was also able to combat Darth Krayt physically using Niman and combining his Force powers with the martial form expertly. In fact, the only reason for Darth Wyyrlok's demise was his overconfidence... which resulted in his ambitions, plans and Holocron being unfinished.
As a result, the gatekeeper of the Holocron is very proud and aloof, mimicking its creator quite admirably.
Strengths:
- Specialized Mastery: Provides its user with a specific range of information, aimed at perfecting Darth Wayyrlok's particular skills to the user.
- Concise Notes & Research: Darth Wyyrlok's knowledge of item locations in Sith lore was exemplary, and he composed detailed notes pertaining to his search for knowledge and information - including tomes, spellbooks, relics and ancient constructions.
- Not for General Use: The Holocron isn't made for general information. The lessons are very specific, and limited. Any powers not listed (save for annotations on Darth Andeddu - see below) are not included in this Holocron.
- Out of Date: Just because Darth Wyyrlok was meticulous with his research doesn't mean those items are still where he pinpointed them, as surely several centuries has allowed others to find a portion of the items using similar methods.
- Limited Andeddu Notes: Darth Wyyrlok despised Darth Andeddu, so the annotations on the dead Sith's powers and skills would be limited, providing enough information for personal interest or experimentation, should the user seek it.
- Incomplete: Darth Wyyrlok (III) died at the hands of Darth Krayt earlier than anticipated, leaving his Holocron unfinished and lacking more general knowledge.
- Fragile: The Holocron is quite fragile. Anything from a barrage of Force Light to simply being dashed to the wall will break it.
- Force dependent: You need to be a Force User to utilize it. For anyone else it is simply an inert object.
