I like rough edges...
Location: Roon, Skyhold
Time: Late morning
The blanket and pillow felt very different, and much more comfortable than in the simple bunk Tan was used to aboard her ship. It pretty much felt like the ones at the different inn’s and hotels she occasionally stayed at when having credits for it, during smuggling missions or to avoid bounty hunters and people that might be looking for her and her ship.
In this bed, though. In this bed she wasn’t alone, which she was reminded of when opening her hazel eyes in a sleepy state and saw the red tuft and pretty face of a very beloved person laying beside her. The cute sight of Aloy still sleeping elicited a soft smile upon her lips and a quiet content sigh leaving her. How her life would have come to this was still beyond comprehension to her. A pure mystery, if you will, but a truly welcome one. While not really believing in destiny, one time it had felt like a higher power wanted their relation brutally shattered. That fateful time on Felucia that ultimately had brought them closer to each other. Now, they were here. At Aloy’s old home on Roon. Their home.
They had it good where they were now, didn't they? As Ryloth wasn't far from Roon, Tan was closer to her kindred even. Maybe they would even go there someday.
Tan reluctantly let her sleepy gaze go of Aloy and turned around, careful not to wake her partner up, to look at the holoclock. They had not overslept too much, but had taken a nice and well deserved long morning. Sitting up carefully and reaching over to a nearby chair, Tan grabbed a long and loose grey t-shirt and black hot pants and put it on. She threw Aloy another glance making sure she had not woken her up, before sneaking out to the kitchen. She wanted to surprise her and figured Aloy would need it as much as she needed the sleep, considering the move and big changes in both of their lives.
The last time Tan had surprised someone like this was Mitch back on Corellia. A sad mistake in her life, and the only thing she would love surprise him with now was a shockglove to the face. She was not exactly a star cook either, but a breakfast was luckily not that hard to prepare. She put on the caf to start brewing and went through the shelves until she found eggs, fruit juice, bantha milk and some berries among with a sweet syrup and a variety of different ingredients. The eggs was put to boil and out of the bantha milk she made a stack of pancakes, making sure to check the amount of each ingredient needed. Everything was put on plates and bowls and onto a bed tray, along with the cups and glasses for the caf and juice. Taking a step back, she gave it all a look, tilting her head to the side and curling her lekkus, quite happy of her achievement. She grabbed a pancake to taste and at least to her it was good. Still comfortingly warm and all. Not bad.
Tan grabbed the tray and snuck into the bedroom again, where she gently sat down on Aloy’s side and put the tray on the table beside the bed. She leant over and kissed the cheek of her beloved partner. Aloy was not the woman to use lots of perfumes, but her pleasant scent still had a certain attractiveness to it. The scent that she always wore was… well, eau de Aloy.
‘’Good morning, sleepyhead… Slept well?’’ she whispered softly, a soft smile spreading on her lips as she waited for her to wake up.
