Hope is the violet blade, and Security the yellow.
Salis long used her former blade, over 25 years of murder and mayhem. But with her turn to the light, so came a need for a weapon to match. She sought out new crystals, and a weapon not so tainted by so much death and darkness. One blade yellow, another violet. Made of songsteel to reinforce it, dantari crystals, and a Krayt dragon pearl in coordination with the yellow of the two sabers. While she did forgo synthetic crystals seeking out her own that she felt fit her best, these weapons still fit her nature as a warrior. In particular that of the krayt dragon pearl, one she took herself. Despite her attempts to make a weapon that might resemble something of a jedi, she also couldn't forgo having an adjustable saber nor her tendency towards a saberstaff/dual saber combination.
And still, she'd try to match them appropriately. When not in need, she'd keep the yellow blade inactive. That it's howl and destruction was not in the way of peace. Rather relying on the force and her other saber to deal with things, and take advantage as she could of the recovery that it could help with in the force. But when things were truly heated, the second saber would be brought forth. Swapping between the staff and the dual weapons as needed, destroying even more quickly and violently than a standard saber.
However, with the protection of songsteel, also comes the difficulty of repairing the blades. The power of the yellow blade also means it's practically impossible to apply a stun setting, and special attention had to be given to ensure that sabers integrity. Putting the connection port of the violet saber at risk of damage.
